    This story fustrates me sometimes

I want to move the story 7 levels but it's taking me hours upon hours to do so. Their is way to much filler in the story quests. Have to talk 5 different people and then travel across the continent and then come back to talk to those same 5 people to get any kind of action quest. Also, I hate and I mean hate the stupid emote crap to get people to talk to you. It takes you out of any kind of seriousness. It will be like, "OMG our leader is missing"!, but first dance for us or give us food or console us for us to tell you anything. Ugghhhh end of rant. This is not that I don't like this game either, I am enjoying myself. Just tired of the BS filler story.

^^ This right here. This entire game is developed solely on this alone "in terms of story"

Only in the dancing sidequests you have to dance, if i remember it right.
    And in the Hildibrand quest.

The filler didn't bother me so much on my first character, it was when I made an alt that I realized exactly how much is there.

Atleast some of the items you get from the story quests sell for decent money to cover teleport fees. Imagine if we had no teleport for those go here, go there quests.

It's mostly to pad reasons to get EXP and Gil.

    ^ pretty much.
The main story is so filled with filler quests because they want to stretch it out so you can level your first class to 50 using mainly the story quests.

I agree. While I do like the dialogue, I wish they could make the fillers more interesting. It's an RPG after all, based on one of the most text heavy series to my knowledge - I think it would be good to strengthen this core part of the game. I wouldn't mind some more movement in cutscenes, not just closeup on faces and people standing still.
