Soooo about the festival music....

As I ran around from place to place to pick up the different ash and pick up my swim suits, what I 'did' start noticing, musically, was all the new music I hadn't heard before! Sadly, I haven't been playing much lately, and as a result, I've mostly been picking up things to do out of the city and largely staying in that greater area. Yesterday I went back to Gridannia and Limsa for the first time in months, and heard a 'lot' of new music! I rather liked it.

Is the old music for those zones completely gone, or do they mix it up, old and new? I don't remember the music from the Limsa surrounding areas, but I have some vague memories of the themes outside of Gridannia, and was wondering if they were still there, just randomly alternated with the new music?

I think its fun and lively when I am in town, and even in areas where the NPC's are (specifically that part of the area), but it feels a little overwhelming hearing it no matter where I am. Its a nice tune, but I like the serious themes when I am in those type of areas.

For La Noscea and the Black Shroud, the higher ranked areas maintain the old music and the lower ranked areas have new music. In Thanalan it's the other way around - the higher ranked areas have the new music.

It's terrible and obnoxious. Within 5 minutes of it, it began to feel abusive.

Luckily muting your music is easily done in your Configurations > Audio menu. Not really worth making a thread about.

True to an extent, but I do really enjoy this game's music. Just don't really feel like hearing the same tune over and over. x_x

I love the music! Nuff said~ I love all of Nobuo's tracks in the game. Some more than others, but this one is quite lively and catchy!

Yeah catchy like a terrible pop song on the radio. This is torture to have to listen to it loop over and over. I had to switch it off after the fifth repetition.

It sounds to me like they were in a rush to get it out, not like some of the event music in the past.
