If Admiral Merlwyb wants to keep her guns, then she will bloody keep her guns.
The player is not a major city-state leader.
Besides, your screen just shows that if a character has its weapon, then it's clearly displayed (which was not the case with our character during the 2.55 cutscenes).
Hiding the player's weapon is not a random thing. It's a deliberate choice.
We didn't had our weapons and it makes no sense to have them during a meeting with the Sultana.
Why do you want to hard to believe that your weapon were with you the entire time, but just magically hidden for some unexplicable reason?

No, It shows that even if they are having a private meeting they had their weapons. This shows the only reason we didn't have our weapons was because of plot convenience with no explanation. Also im pretty sure a guy who has saved the realm twice (one from empire and another if you finished coil) should be able to have their weapon. Everyone trusts you for what you did. Now suddenly our weapons vanishes for this one scene I might add just so people can't say we should have fought back then we run not just run. Also if the matter was so important and we said "I would like to keep my weapon" She would still allow you to keep it because she trusts you.
Also remember this is MY character. Why would i trust some "lady in waiting" with my Longius Zeta? A Zodiac weapon at that.

You are putting words in my mouth (well, actually, this is the second time you do that).
I never said it was not for plot convenience. I just said that it made sense, and that we didn't have our weapon with us, no matter why no matter how.
We were just weaponless, that's it.
Besides, attacking Teledji would have been the stupidest thing to do. Those who don't realize that are just completly clueless.
You don't seem to understand the relation bewteen Nanamo and the other leaders if you say that.
Naturally. Which is why when you go to Gridania or Limsa everyone basically tells you they dont care what the Monetarists say. And when you go to Ul'dah for some reason noone cares to arrest the Sultana Assassin. Even tho she is beloved by the common people. You are putting words in my mouth (well, actually, this is the second time you do that).

Heeeell No! Just no lol. It's because She is a Major City-State Leader that she should adhere to the laws of another Region more than anyone else. Even more so, the rule would be applied more so to the actual Politcal event than just the bed Chambers, and off the bat I can point out more than 3 people who have their weapons on them at that event, and that's not including the Guards or the New group of Backstabbing assholes whose credibility mainly lies on MY/MC/Alph's achievements.
People need to stop trying so hard to defend that shit lol. If we're pulling Statuses though, The MC Is the WoL as Remus mentioned who saved the Realm on more than one occasion as well as done a great deal of deeds for each of the regions that easily overshadow anything all of them have done together. Where was She when I was getting my faced stomped by Titan, and getting waterboard by Leviathan ? Behind her Desk because she cant fight without getting Tempered. Shoulders hurt from Carrying these people >_<
This was the first place my mind went to when Nanamo got Poisoned and fingers were pointed at me because I had the Vial. My eyes narrowed and head turned to the side like I was looking to the Audience and first thing that came from my mouth was ".....Momodi you sonofabitch ".
