The couple in the Wanderer's Palace (Hard) quest, had to flee their home because of their interracial relationship. We keep getting these tidbits from Fern and others regarding racism and taboo romances - but in the actual game, these things are not very apparent at all. There's many instances of cross-race infatuations and relationships in-game that no one bats an eyelash to. Urianger and Moenbryda, Severian and W'nahja, Longhaft and the twins, just to name a few. And this is to say nothing of the complete lack of restrictions on marriages between adventurers (though adventurers seem to get a free pass against prejudices and taboos in general; even the most deranged hater of Duskwights or Keepers of the Moon are just as cordial to those types of adventurers as others).
