so is it better to stay with one Grand Company?

If the fee company is allied with a certain grand company opposite of your own, does it matter? How can you increase your free company alliance to other grand company?

Not sure if anyone knows this but are the new jobs going to have a soul crystal to equip? If so with the new jobs you level any base class + job? Or do the new jobs transform u to a new class starting at x level ( level lower than 30 but greater than 1)

It really doesn't matter. There's even an achievement for completing all three GC's hunting logs or something. The only things it affects off the top of my head:
Seals. You earn them the same way, get the same amount, etc, but they're tied to one GC. If you start off with Flames, accumulate 40,000 Flame seals, then switch to Maelstrom, you can't use those 40,000 seals because they're Flame seals and not Maelstrom.
PvP rank. Your PvP rank is tied to your GC. If you get to rank 44 then switch, you start over at rank 1.
Both of these things will be re-obtained if you switch back to the GC you earned them on.

As far as I know, it affects absolutely nothing. If you want to modify the Free Company crest or put it on your gear, you have to do it at the FC's allied GC, but that's it.

The jobs don't have base classes at all. They're purely jobs. No base class. We'll likely just pick them straight up like you would a base class, but from a job master. I believe you need to have at least one other job unlocked or be level 30 or something to acquire them? Don't hold me on that, I don't remember what they have said and what is just speculation. The new jobs will start at some as-of-yet-unannounced level, but assumed level 30 (because all jobs start at 30)
I really don't know about soul crystals, though...Without a base class to revert to if they're unequipped, I don't know how they would work.

The ranks you obtain within the GC dictate what you can and can't do with the FC (such as being able to own a house, or have more actions, etc)

Those are two different ranks.

Your FC itself has a rank, from Rank 1 to Rank 8, and that's what determines which of those privileges are unlocked, but that rank is unrelated to the GC it's associated with.

Then your FC also has a Standing with each GC, like "Neutral" "Trusted" "Allied" etc. The FC window shows your current standing and a progress bar of how far you are in leveling it up towards the next level, but I've yet to discover any actual feature that's impacted by that standing.

So within your FC how to boost your Fc's standing with other GCs from "neutral"
