Glamour Question

When i get my artifact gear, I save it in my inventory to use it for glamour to change future gear to that style? is that correct?

As a dragoon can I wear monk outfits and vice visa since they are both disciples of war?

Does the glamour system also work for weapons as well?

And does any know where i can see all the gear sets post 50 so i can see what style i would like?

I don't believe that cross class Glamour is possible. You can only project gear that your class is currently able to wear.
Check the classes that can equip the item to see who can wear it as glamour.

Yes, weapons can be projected onto others. If you check the bottom of a weapons info page, you will see "Projectable: Yes" if you can use it as a glamour item.

Unfortunately, I've not looked into artifact gear yet. But the only visable change to artifact gear is that it is dyable. The normal variants you get from class quests are still projectable, you just cannot change their colour.

Most sets will be available just by selecting the "Try on" option in game. But as for a website, I personally just use google images. Worked for the sets I've checked.

To be more clear:
You can glamor any gear your class can equip onto another gear. Some gear, for example is for Healers (CNJ,WHM,SCH) and you can wear it on all three, but if you glamor the SCH AF that can only be equipped by SCH to that gear, it can only be seen when you are a SCH and the original gear is visible for the other classes. If the pieces can be dyed the same color is seen on all dyable pieces. For example, my brother had the Evenstar set (BLM,THM,ACN,SMN) glamour with Augmented BLM AF Dyed traditional BLM colors. Both gears are dyable and those colors were the same for both gears and ended up looking ridiculous for wearing Evenstar in SMN since it doesn't get the appearance of BLM AF.

Weapons can be glamored and are also restricted to specific classes. The only classes with issues on glamoring weapons are WHM and BLM because of 1 vs 2 handed weapons cannot be glamored over each other.

Dyes can be purchased from vendors in each city state, and vendors in housin. These dyes are all the same.

All crafting classes also obtain the ability to craft select dyes at level 30 and this is the only way to obtain certain colors and would be sold on market boards.

Other colors are exclusive to certain beast tribes for obtaining rep with them

Finally there are special dyes only obtainable from retainer quick ventures or the Cash Shop in the mogstation.

I personally see more pictures shared on the lodestone one, but xivdb is best for looking up practically anything.

Each starting city, (Gridania, ul'dah and lominsa) will have NPC merchants that sell dyes, who can be found with the rest of the stores in the city market. If you can't find a colour you're looking for under that NPC, check the market board for it. Some dyes are only available through crafting, or beast tribe quests.

Not to highjack but figured I'd ask instead of posting a new topic, for the gear glamour, if say my boots say armorer on them (whm weathered gear) and I want to glamour best man's shoes, which are leather(?) What prism do I use, or is that possible? Do both items need to be the same (ie. Weaver, weaver etc)?

In that situation you would need the prism of the item you are glamouring... example you current have whm armorer boots equipped and wish to glamour over them with leather groom boots that can be equipped to any class, You would need a leather prism of the groom boots ilvl. Hope that helps

The items do not need to be the same, you just need to be able to equip them on the class you're glamouring stuff onto. You use the glamour prism class of the item you want it to look like.
Say you have level 40 weaver boots but you want them to look like level 1 leatherworker boots. You need a grade 1 leatherworking prism.
If you're ever unsure, pop open the glamour window and select what you want to glamour - it tells you exactly what grade and class prism you need on the confirmation prompt.
