    Spoilers! Duh.

I do like your theory about Ilberd, as I do wish he isn't the traitor. However, with how he is loyal to 'his' people, I can't help but feel he was involved in the Ala Mhigan riots and possible the archer assassin that took out the merchant. At the same time, Yuyuhase's lust of money hasn't gone unnoticed and I certainly think he might be a turncoat.

I took the time to screenshots part of dialogue with each npc, anything that was of interest.

    Yuyuhase
    Ilberd
Riol and the black market affair

The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it..

I wouldn't read in to this too much. I think our Lalafell friend is simply doing what Ul'dahns do. The pursuit of money is part of the culture. There's a monument in Ul'dah that says "Divinity is the color of gold" (or something to that effect) and the slogan of the Immortal Flames is "For Coin and Country"

I think Momodi Modi said it best.
So you want to know more, then, do you? Well, ain't that a surprise... I swear, if I painted ''CERTAIN DEATH'' on one door and "LIMITLESS WEALTH" on another, nine out of ten adventurers would go through the first, and the other bloke wouldn't be able to choose, on account of bein' Ul'dahn.
