Some people like story....
Some people like story....
While it's true that not everyone will like the story, the people who are here specifically because it's Final Fantasy rather than just because it's another MMO to try out are generally the players who do want the story. That's the feature this whole series is best known for, so it's the feature that many of us are here for.
(I don't actually think the story here is quite as good as that of some of the single player games in this franchise, but only because that's a rather high bar they set for themselves, which would be difficult to match in an MMO environment. I still really like the story for the most part, especially when it gets to the type of important bits where they tend to put cutscenes.)
If you are already tired @ 30 i am afraid to say this game may not be for you. Once you start Relic the real grind begins, oh and of course raids that have a weekly loot lock
As grindy as it has been i still love this game
I don't know who told you that this game is less grindy than other MMOs.. But that is not true at all..
This is one of the most grind heavy MMOs I've played so far, It is Japanese after all.. Japanese and Korean MMOs tend to be very grindy.. One aspect that's different from the stereotypical Asian MMO is that the enemies have no loot so you don't have to go out and just kill one type of mob for days on end for that one weapon. That doesn't exist here, but in all other aspects of the game, it's still a grindfest.
Compared to old school maplestory. . .you donno what grinding really means LOL.
For me it's not a very grindy. Just the cap and the requirement to do this and that is the cause you need to take longer time to complete it. If you're chill then you have no problem, but if you're rushing then you need a help from friends or FC.
Have you unlocked the challenge log? It's a great source of additional exp and resets weekly.![]()
Explore, if you cant find fates at your level, you need to explore the map and do the quests in the areas you are sent to. Also do leve quests to learn a bit more about each area and you get a better grasp of what the calamity has done to the world. There are fates the give you more info on each area. You're at level 30, if it's too grindy, you're doing it wrong. 1- 30 with REAL grinding, is do able in 1-2 days, less if you already have the level 50 exp bonus.
That's why I said at times, when it's good it's good but to me that is only around 25% of the time. I think a problem for me is that I don't have a lot of play time, so when I play the game I hate the fact that their is so much traveling and pointless dialog.
It doesn't exist for weapons, at least not directly, but if you want to craft, you're going to have to do that for some of the crafting ingredients you'll need.
