Try shielding progression groups while still pumping out as much DPS as you can; even a SCH has to manage MP semi-intelligently while pulling double-duty in less-than-perfect groups.

I've played both classes in end game content and each has their specific role. I love teaming up with a WHM and vice versa when I'm a WHM. SCH really does excel at mitigating damage and during a raid my goal is to shield and prevent as much damage as possible, debuffing and stacking DOTs the mob, while having the WHM focus on big heals on tanks as needed (Chrysalis - Triple). In anycase I love both WHM and SCH and look forward to playing AST and learning their new role as well.

the only thing whms got going for them is massive aoe heals/over healing, even then sch can aoe just pretty well with eos. single target healing and dps sch is superior. for T13 progression I out heal my whm during the second and third phase(we have a questionable whm) and my over healing is less. I definitely see whm being useless when astrologist comes out unless they give them some kind of unique skill that helps the raid.

Why do these posts always turn into this? I main WHM and I have 0 problems keeping anyone alive....I love my class and I dont have to bash SCH to prove myself. They are both viable healers.

Then after Ast nerf due to unbalanced potency etc

For end game stuff.
That is if they don't do MAJOR overhauling rework stuff.

I'm just going to state the obvious here... Never once have I heard anything like this being said, and I played Scholar for about a month before I missed Holy spam. I'm guessing there was a conflict of personalities and things were said. If you are hearing this a lot, then I'm guessing you are getting into a lot of conflicts.

Didn't mean the skill of players specifically. I meant that White Mage being Job being as good as Scholar Job. I created a thread about "White Mage Lacking compared to scholar" and people thought I was just hatin on White Mage when I have just played both jobs and found Scholar better in a lot more situations. That's why I made that comment.
