White mage remain gimp because the can go scholar on real content?

Alot of people are stating at how white mages are fine and bring the raw healing to the table in progression but is that really the issue? White mages are weaker on everything when compared to scholars and the only real draw back is stacking issues from other scholars with shields. I trully feel that the white mage needs a rework from its 1.0 days to make them relevant in 2.0 and beyond now.

Two people who I know who supposedly main white mages who have beaten all turns of Bahamut coils play scholars for 90% of the content that they farm now. The fact that scholar and white mages can can share almost all the healing gear in the game lets white mages get away from badly needing an overhaul because you can just go scholar to be a crutch.

SE had it right when they had bought gear on the left side for the high end currency being job specific.

Yawn.....its this time again i suppose.

WHM is very very powerful and very very good. People who complain about WHM tend to fall into one of 2 categories:

1) the arrogant egotistical scholar who thinks they are god

2) the useless WHM who believes the problem lies with their class, and not their inability to play said class.

So i raid as SCH (cleared t13 several times), and play WHM end game as well. What do i do for the most time in coils.....i DPS on SCH and heal the main tank, with some raid wide mitigation thrown in. What does my WHM parter do? He solo heals whilst i am DPSing and heals the entire raid group for all those mass aoe's in FcoB. What cant i do, i cant mass raid heal any where near as efficently or as fast as my WHM partner. What cant he do, he can mitigate raid wide damage. The two people you are talking about quite frankly sound like they can not use WHM at all.

As for the gear "issue" you bring up, it is based on a conclusion you have already reached of "SCH=god, WHM=lolWHM". I can switch from SCH to WHM when needed since they "share" gear (this in itself is just utterly wrong, end game in FcoB, the BiS for both rolls are completely different) just as quick as these WHM can switch to SCH.

Oh and WHM is certainly NOT weaker than SCH in terms of aoe healing. They also have the highest potency single target healing spell in the game....its called regen.

TL;DR learn to play both classes to their highest potential then come back here. Not much wrong with WHM apart from the person playing it.

Another one of these threads? When you actually, I dunno, play both of the classes, you can see the strengths and weaknesses of both. Why is it all of these threads are about hearsay and not the OP speaking from personal experience? Oh yeah, because when you play both you can actually see they are both strong classes on their own with variable individual weaknesses. The two work really well together. A smart static would have both in group, not two sch's or two whm's. If anything, other than what's already been stated, I think there's a smaller margin for error for WHM's from a greater need for mana management compared to SCH. It's not hard to do if you know how to play the class though.
