White mage remain gimp because the can go scholar on real content?

Two people who I know who supposedly main white mages who have beaten all turns of Bahamut coils play scholars for 90% of the content that they farm now.

And the reason for that is: Most times you can nearly completely turn off your brain when doing so in casual content. The fairy do the most for you. As a whitemage you have to pay more attention as you have to do everything by hand, like gimping dds that don't dodge.
