I'm so glad Au Ra females have "normal" movement animations

Hey, I'm quite glad that my Highlander lass doesn't have the kawaii-desu run of the Midlander ladies.

My boyfriend's character is a Midlander female and he mains PLD and occasionally plays WAR. I think the run looks fine, I actually find it quiet charming. It's very unique, I find most of the other runs look somewhat similar (unless their weapon is out, of course. Then everyone has the same animations), but Midlander's stands out the most. I love it. I wish my Miqo'te had the same run. I tried being Midlander myself once, but I missed my tail too much.

Midlanders are supposed to be rather elegant looking, most of their emotes are proper-like. They are definitely more toward the feminine-elegant side, like princesses and other nobility. I think they captured it quite well. Miqo'te emotes are very innocent and child-like, without being the same over-the-top cute that Lalafells are (because, they're basically toddlers. You can't really get any cuter than a toddler). I think the animations and emotes suit all the races rather well.

Miqote run is probably the best in the game as of right now. Its a casual jog and its probably what you would do if you had to get somewhere quickly on foot.
Roes, elves, and Highlander look like theyre in pain or something and cant move their arms very well.

Yeah the Miqote girls' run looks very natural.

The Male run is kind of..."Stompy"?

Well, I wanted something fierce and beastial, the best I could go with was miqo'te, but they were too cute. I tried Roe for a little while but their arms weirded me out, same with elezen necks *shiver* so I am really looking forward to Au Ra and I am also glad they have "normal" running and walking animations

Or better yet, give us the option to change our movement style the same way we can now change our idle poses.

Thats a good idea. I'm still hoping that one day they'll make expressions persistent too.
