Now that you are hosting Community Events (like Nariko, Tyriont, and myself) you are an event judge on the Judging panels of ENTM! This is great news for me because I can cast another Judge to represent Cycle 3 and have you as the Host of Detective Eorzea judge! xD Oh Flareeeee!!! haha

Also, I am starting to suspect the ninja instead. o_o

I originally thought it was the marauder and using maim(since his description of the events didn't match any of the other witnesses), but actually looking at the animation in game, all the descriptions given point to the ninja using gust slash

Mage was killing Water Sprites (the disturbance the CNJ sensed) (Ice magic nearby)
Ninja kills Eldwys using Gust Slash (proper slash pattern, and the FIRST blue glow that Mage saw).
Eldwys screams in pain
Marauder walking through woods and does yell at CNJ, causing her to cast Protect (second Blue glow) and hide in bushes.
Everything else about the Marauders story is just him lieing and being attention whore.
Eldwys falls to ground (according to Mage, she fell after the first 2 blue glows)
NIN then calls for helps, CNJ comes out of hiding. CNJ tries to heal victim (healing magic nearby)
Funny he knows fully well shes dead, but tried to 'warm her up' (fire magic to erase evidence of his Shiva daggers killing her)
PLD did not see the murder happen, only the people present when the NIN was calling for help.
PLD did not see MAR because he really wasn't at the actual crime scene, and is just grabbing for attention

Nah, it only said equipment restrictions. Meaning anyone can equip anything from armor to their undies regardless of their level. However, skills, abilities, and spells are the only ones restricted by levels. Hence the reason why I added levels next to their classes/jobs.

Oh, this is actually really good.

At first glance it looks like the Ninja did it with Hyoton! A lot of the evidence points to this. Except! He is only Level 40 and has not yet learned the proper Mudra (Jin) for Hyoton (needs Level 45)! So it can't be him!
I am ruling out the Paladin simply because they don't kill people for no reason, and the storyline makes it seem like not just anyone can become a Paladin, and lying doesn't go with the job.
I would also rule out the Conjurer as the murderer simply because she is low level and harmless. Conjurers also do not have any kind of Ice magics outside of Cross-classing Blizzard II. Even there, it was stated that Ice Magic was not found anywhere near the victim! So we can rule out the Black Mage as well.
The Paladin said he saw a "burly one" which had to be the Ninja, who is a Rogaedyn. The Marauder is a Lalafell, and is the only person who's testimony does not fit.
"Controlled ferocity" and "extreme anger" are signs of the Marauder, something they must overcome on their path to become a true Warrior!

So that leaves us with the Marauder as our culprit.

Now on to the murder weapon! People in the thread are guessing the Shiva weapon. But he is only Level 46! And you need Level 50 to equip the Shiva weapon! So that cannot be correct. What could it be? The only Ice Weapon available Level 46 or below is the L'Cie Bardiche! Here is our weapon: http://xivdb.com/?item/6034/l%27Cie-Bardiche

That leaves the skill. Multiple slashes? It's a skill combo! One diagonal slash and one horizontal slash. All combos start with Heavy Swing, that must be the diagonal slash! From there you can go to Skull Sunder or Maim. Skull Sunder is a vertical slash downwards! That can't be it. How about Maim? Seems to go Horizontal!
