::Fun Time!:: - Your favorite fight so far in 2.0!

Hello happy forum goers! I thought I'd ask the question, I've been asked before in many different games. Which fight so far, is your favorite fight in FFXIV:ARR.

Well to get us started, I must say the fight I still enjoy to this day, after beating it, and learning it thoroughly, would have to be Second Coils of Bahamut: Turn 9.

I absolutely adore this fight so much! Not only does it drop my favorite designed weapons in the game so far (Love me some HA!), but it's mechanically the most fun fight I've done so far! I will admit, my static and I had the hardest time first trying to learn this fight XD, it took us much longer to get this one down and synced up than it did for us to get T5. But it was well worth it, and after have it down to a science and precise art of always knowing what's coming, and where to go and what to dodge, I must say it's the fight I actually enjoy doing over and over.

I even love helping others learn it! I've been in a few pts where I've helped others beat it for their first time, and I got that nostalgia wave of when I beat it for the first time!

Nael deus Darnus is really an awesome boss, I love all the different mechanics thrown out at you, while having heal checks, DPS checks, position checks, VERY MUCH coordination checks. To me, it just met all my fun requirements, while also being endgame, which I don't find most endgame fights "fun" or wanting to be repeatable for me lol.

The story for SCoB was such a nice lil' shocker, even for someone who didn't get to experience 1.0 first hand (I've read up on every bit of lore I can get my hands on before I started playing 2.0)

So what's you're favorite fight so far in FFXIV:ARR?

T8 savage, hands down. I had the chance to OT said fight and the struggle is real. You never get bored there, compared to T7 savage which is only fun after the Prosector dies.

Ultros/Typhon was a really fun fight. Its not tough once you know the mechanics but what makes it so excellent is that all the roles play a pretty important part in the mechanics portion. DD in particular get a bit more lime-light in that fight than they usually do (which is usually just avoid AoE and DPS), which was really refreshing being a DRG main.

I'm a newbie so my experiences are limited, but....

I just did good king moggle mog for the first time today.

I kept giggling for 30 minutes after because of that theme, and the way they say things, kupo.

T8 savage.

This. T8 Savage was very satisfying to down. While T7 savage was also very, very satisfying to down, the entire fight was just kind of a lesson in frustration. Messing up in T8 wasn't so bad, but some of the stupid things that can just go wrong in T7 made the entire fight more frustrating than anything. T9 sav was also pretty fun.

I hated the fight when I was trying to clear it the first time. But it has grown on me more and more. It is one of those fights where you can't use gear to save you from mechanics. If you derp, you are dead. Still satisfying to down, and good to run to keep your dodging skills in check.

Shiva Extreme.
Sure, it's not hard, but it has just the right amount of "dancing" to keep it interesting. Plus I like the music.

T12 is probably my favorite fight so far. None of the mechanics feel like they overstay their welcome; each phase builds on each other conceptually without excessive backlogs of mechanics stacked, and every role feels like they're seriously challenged in doing their job. Also, it feels suitably big and dramatic and fitting for the second-to-last turn in the series. It feels like an actual fight with tricks you have to work around instead of an obtuse mechanical dance.

The Minstrels Ballad: Ultimas Bane. Best music, a good fight without being incredibly hard, lots of movement without making it impossible for certain classes to cast / keep combos up... Just flat out the one fight I love to do, just to do it. (Though the accessories look cool as hell).

Leviathan EX. Just the right levels of randomness and if-you-mess-up-you-fail.
