afaik, we really don't know WHAT specializing will mean in the expac; we can only guess.Because crafting and gathering are getting the specialists system (where you pick a handful of crafts to be an expert in and you unlock new recipes and abilities for that class while the other crafts remain limited), I doubt that desynth would go the opposite route. But so far that I know there hasn't been any new info about it.
I'm in the "We've been able to do everything on one character thus far, don't stop now SE" group.
Here is a quote from an interview with Yoshi around PAX that I based my earlier statements on.
The whole interview can be found here: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/125...29-TranslationFor people that put a lot of time into it, one of the goals of Heavensward and later the patch 3.X series is that they will have a greater economic contribution. One of the new systems is the concept of Specialists for crafter classes. Like before, it will still be possible to develop all of the crafter classes without limit to level 60. After you finish training, you'll be able to choose a profession to qualify as a Specialist which may provide a special action or special recipes. It will also be possible to choose multiple specializations
It's worth a read if you haven't seen it yet, it's packed with cool new info.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
Yep, I've read it before and I'll still hold to my statement... we don't yet know the details of how specialization will work. Thanks for the link though! Here is a quote from an interview with Yoshi around PAX that I based my earlier statements on.
