Why can't we get apartments luxury complex condominium style where you buy an area with multiple room - so one instanced apartments can hold 50-100 players and can co-exist with the current FC housing + other housing. All you do is click enter and it takes you to another zone, outside the apartments complex there will be stables etc (and inside the complex, places for crafting, vendors etc). You should be able to garden inside the room (similar to FFXI), and later they could add the "island vacation plot" similar to what they did with FFXI Adoulin.

Ya, I rather everyone have the opportunity to acquire a piece of landed property with or without an FC.

PS:

Whether it's an apartment in a building or landed property, it probably doesn't really make a difference to the servers.

The server primarily has to store the items (and their location) in the housing area, tables, chairs, plants ... etc. What the housing area actually looks like, be it a room or a wide open field, probably doesn't impact the server much if at all.
