You're "supposed" to pick off the eggs at a specific pace to control the flow of adds. One egg = 8 stacks on Zu, and if she gets 10+ she'll enrage and do a sick AoE. One stack degrades every tic, so one egg every 20s keeps things under control.
When pharos was first released i did zu on my 1st run the intended way ( dealing with adds etc)
I then was like wait i managed to burn 1st boss ( ignoring ALL adds) so y not zu.
So i treated it like T2 enraged and bam zu dead.
I had around 5k hp i think as a whm so tht allowed me to cheese pharos since release :3
Ppl thought i was crazy but i got a lot of commends ^^
Also burned siren so she wouldn't even go into phase 2 lol
how do you plan on burning siren when the team is bound? When pharos was first released i did zu on my 1st run the intended way ( dealing with adds etc)

unless you just stack in the middle and don't dodge the dive, and none of you move so you don't have to turn
What I want to know is the 'proper' way to do the third boss.
...like, everyone is able to burn him in two seconds but there must have been a strategy at some point right?

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
There is none. If your dps isn't strong enough, kill the few adds or tank them and keep hitting the boss. I actually ask myself what is the point of that one too.
Yah as Blue mentioned there was none. It was always a pure DPS check / Burn. I remember the first run (and all early runs), even back then, we just burned down the Boss ASAP. If you started getting overwhelmed with Adds, just kill off a few, and continue on.
The major mechanic was the tank stunning the charm, the healer had to top of the health of the player with the debuff to erase it, and everyone had to run to the middle for some move that was raid wide to avoid it(been awhile). Besides Animus Books, ppl still do this? Is there a certain drop im forgetting?
That's the fourth/final boss. The third one dies in about 30 seconds or less. The major mechanic was the tank stunning the charm, the healer had to top of the health of the player with the debuff to erase it, and everyone had to run to the middle for some move that was raid wide to avoid it(been awhile). There's a Zodiac drop in there as well as a TT card. There's also high level roulette. The major mechanic was the tank stunning the charm, the healer had to top of the health of the player with the debuff to erase it, and everyone had to run to the middle for some move that was raid wide to avoid it(been awhile). Honestly, I still silence/stun Lunatic Voice. It's just ingrained into me. xD
I've accidentally killed a few eggs as a BLM with LB. I wanted to hit all the dang baby birdies smacking the healer and finish off the Zu. But I wasn't paying attention to the edges of the AoE and I over estimated its damage (we were at about 10%). My party was not very happy with me despite my relentless apologies and I don't think they forgave me either 'cause I got no commendations, LOL.
