Request: Remove messages from blacklisted players

Could we have a feature that, when we blacklist a character, the messages we've already received from them are removed from our chat box?

One of the more annoying and persistent RMT spamming companies sends messages that fill about six lines in the chat log, and immediately repeats the message a second time, so it's often hard to blacklist before getting that repeat of this big block of text. (Plus, they often have two or three characters spam it at the same time, so it may be more like four or six copies of their message coming in at once.)

That sort of thing really clutters up the chat box, making it harder to see the meaningful game messages that are supposed to be there. The spam would be less intrusive if we were able to remove it when we blacklist the character who sent it.


(And yes, I know that /busy or removing tells from chat altogether would eliminate them, but I'm not willing to cut off real chat in exchange for eliminating the spam. I want to remove only that of people I blacklist.)

That's the complete opposite of what I'm trying to do. The issue comes up when I'm trying to read something in the chat log, as that's when all these spam messages get in the way. /clearlog wipes out everything, both the spam and the stuff I'm trying to read. So that takes it from awkward to read to impossible to read.

If /cleartellhistory actually worked the way it sounds like it would, removing all preceding /tell messages, it would help at least some of the time, so long as what I'm trying to read isn't also in tells, but /cth doesn't seem to have any effect on the chat window. (Actually, it doesn't seem to do anything at all, so far as I can tell.)

What I'd really prefer, though, is for just the specific characters I've blacklisted to disappear from the chat.
