Please make the in-game Au Ra (Males) more muscular, reflective of the Artwork

I kinda like the options of race body types we have.

Elves = Tall and lank
Roegadyn= tall and burly
Highlander: Tall and Muscular (but not burly)
Midlanders: Average sized and slim
miqote: slim but toned
Au Ra: Tall and toned

Here's a more direct idea of what I'm talking about:



Basically, the have Roegadyn the Endomorph, the Hyur, Elezen, and Miqo'te representing the Ectomorph. Personally, I gravitate towards the Mesomorph (generally considered the "ideal" body-type, at least here in the States), yet the Au Ra really look more towards Ectomorphs -- just with more masculine animations.

Frankly, I'd say Miqo'te are a short Mesomorph. Their shoulders are broad and rounded like that in my opinion, perhaps not quite as defined, byt they aren't lanky like Endomorphs. Au Ra seem to fit a nice niche between the two.

I don't think an uber Mesomorph with exaggerated biceps would go over that well..

Yugiri already has a good reason for hiding herself. She doesn't want to cause an uproar because she looks different and beastmen sure do have a bad rep. Yes, her even being mistaken for a beastman could put her life in danger. (Being discriminated against isn't exactly fun.) Let an Ehcatl Nine Ixal member walk into Gridania and let's see how warm a welcome they get. Most if not all people would straight up 180, screaming in the other direction to the nearest Wood Wailer or Twin Adder member. There is a lot of racism and discrimination in Eorzea. (I'll take Duskwight Elezen for 400, please.) Do you guys not remember the Amalj'aa who is staying near the Burning Wall? Kazagg Chah? They were camping out there so that they wouldn't be found and killed by someone. Don't be fooled into thinking that everything is just fine in Eorzea and everyone gets a free Fat Cat for showing up at the door. And may Hydaelyn help Yugiri if an Ishgardian just happened to see her without her mask on, girl gon be putting in work with her Ninja skills.

And whether or not you're a supporter of "Au Ra are descendants of Shiva", it's not bestiality. :l The Draconian Horde are sentient. They have their own hopes, dreams, feelings, their own culture. They can talk for goodness' sake. They can give consent, just like all of the other races of Eorzea. Jeez. >:V

Well, the Miqo'te are definitely very, very toned, but I suppose they're interesting in that they are still slim, but not so slender at the rest. They have a bit more muscle than I sometimes give them credit for, I suppose because they're generally so small.

In any case, I suppose my point in this; right now, the game is very "pretty" and definitely has a portion of players who play for exactly that reason; not talking bad about WoW or anything, but it isn't exactly a game with lavishly-detailed dresses or town-clothes. I think because it has attracted players who love more slender characters, to go with more beautiful outfits, it has kind of left those who *do* prefer more masculine characters a bit by the wayside, as even the Roegadyn seen very "loveable". It's not that I want to change the "vibe" of the game, but with a new race, why not take it as an opportunity to broaden the scope a bit?

I'm fine with them having their "pretty-boy" faces, but in terms of body-type, I want my guy to look like an adult, and a fighter. I just don't get that from the thinner models. They still look very "teenager-ish".

Well, these guys, if I recall, ARE supposed to be inspired by dragon characteristics, right? And this IS a Japanese game, right? Based on both of these, I'd say the Au Ra's body type is spot on:

Yes Shiva laying with the dragons isn't related to the Au Ra as far as I know.
