How would identify a female player guy/girl?

Simply put, if your character is a female then I will treat you as if you were a female in game. I will tell you that you look pretty and flirt with you. Which I'm sure will make you feel strange if you are a male controlling that female character. So watch out, you may want to reconsider fantasia'ing yourself to a male as to not confuse others and get tired of people thinking you are a girl. Just play your sex already, it's 2015. Be normal.

hahaha well in my opinion i actually dont like guys play as girls cuz i find it weird and wrecks the balance of gender population. for example, say if you're marrying a female character, would u marry them knowing the player as a guy or a girl? to me i know i wudnt with a guy "shudders". so im thinking if there is a way to find out without having to ask them straight up lol.

if she looks good, y'all get along great it doesn't matter who is on the side of the screen. Unless you're looking for real fling, then you're in the wrong place.

And just to end the discussion, for those of you who say it really doesn't matter. I'm sorry, it's more like you are saying, "it shouldn't matter". Because the fact is, there are more people who care at what you fit into, because it's easier, simpler. No matter how much you wish for your race, gender, etc to not matter, it does. You are categorized by what you have, do, and are. It hasn't changed and by the looks of things, not anytime soon. I applaud your valiant attempts at keeping things equal, and it's noble, but unfortunately it's not real. If it were, well, the world would be a different place, wouldn't it? A little off topic, but that's what it all boils down to. Keep it real.

If it matters to you, that is your problem, not everybody's. Go play King of the World if males playing female characters is such an abomination to you.

Look, it boils down basically to finding out one of two ways... ask or wait and see. The thing you should take away from all this is that you are only in control of YOUR actions, not others and how they choose to play the game. If you flirt with someone, you run the risk of the character's rl player being a gender you would prefer not to flirt with. *shrugs* At that point, it behooves you to just let it go, say something nice, and move along. You could always just not flirt in the first place and not run the risk of making ANYONE uncomfortable. ^^

I read an entire study on this once, main detail that stuck in my head that actually has helped me spot guy/girl many times, Is that male tend to jump around alot when there moving/bored, were female players dont.

I personally jump around when I am idle and even through dungeons and raids. I unsure why I started that habit, but I think it's cause I thought it was cute when I was a lalafell. :3

Hmmm I just refer to people based of their name or their character(once I meet them) until I'm informed otherwise. But my behaviour doesn't change towards them one way or another. As for the running and jumping alot vs standing still... really depends on the person.

it's all depend if you play your rôle as the character or playing with the character. depending of one of thoses two, playing a male or female have differents meaning.

i tend to play "with" my char, so it doesn't matter if i choose a female or male, the fact is, it's all depend to animations/textures/interaction/attraction. The char is NOT me, so i dont identify myself to it, with that in mind playing a Woman as i am a Man IRL is no big deal, i don't see the problem there (and animation from women are often really great, plus they dont wear XXXXXL size Shoulders...).

If you play your char, as you identify yourself with it, i can understand that you dont want to be a Real Man playing a Woman character (some do tho...).

In the end, i never try to know who is the person i'm playing with, as long as i can play with them, i'm not looking for a partner (despit that i'm single) and i think everyone should not care of who's behind the character unless they're willing to share this information.
