    Paladin novus build

I'm sure this question is posted on here somewhere, I'm just to tired/lazy at the moment to scroll through all the post here. What stats are good for putting on the Paladin relic? I'm sure it's probably Det and Crit, but should I also do skill speed and accuracy? Thanks in advance for your answers!

Accuracy, det, crit. Accuracy is especially important if you want to do endgame. The accuracy cap goes pretty high (558 in T13) since the tank is attacking the mob from the front. Skill speed isn't really useful for Paladins.

I went the cheaper route and maxed parry on shield/sword, then put acc on shield and det on sword. I didn't see much need for Crit as I don't really benefit like a WAR would for example. I don't see parry as terrible however, sure it sucks on bosses but I find it helps mitigate a decent chunk of damage on big pulls. Parry is the only real "tank" stat, but they all really do end up mattering very little in the end. Det is just slightly better, so don't go broke making your weapon.

Accuracy, Parry, Determination and Crit all have their place in a Novus and you cant go wrong with any of them at the moment (Skillspeed however you should avoid)

in the end the only thing that matters is how much time do you want to put in spirit bonding or how much Gil you have to spend on materia

And remember you can always go back later and redo our secondary stats

for example you could go Cheap at the start (say Acc+Parry) to start farming light/Zodiac items/mahatma Light earlier (and cheaper) and save up to replace Parry with Determination while doing said farming

Acc/Det/Crit are the only 3 stats that should be on your Novus.

    Parry - No
    SS - No

For the amount of parry you have to stack to get any real effect out of it, it's not worth it.

for example you could go Cheap at the start (say Acc+Parry) to start farming light/Zodiac items/mahatma Light earlier (and cheaper) and save up to replace Parry with Determination while doing said farming
This is the only reason I can think of to put parry on a relic - as a placeholder.

As everyone else is saying Acc/Crit/Det, however, if you can't afford the IV's you can use nothing but III with Acc/Crit/Det/Parry and go back later and redo the stats as required.

This little tool should help you http://bitsmaine.org/ffxivrelic/

You can use nothing but I's, II's, and III's doing a three way split with stats, though.
