I really don't get why people jump on the "swimwear?!? now my female character is going to look like a slut and I don't want her, or women in general, to be seen as a sex object because of this" bandwagon.... It's supposed to be fun and lighthearted. It's a summer event... it's hot in summer and I'm pretty sure the last time I checked most people on the beach (or at pools) were wearing this sort of thing. It doesn't mean that you are automatically forced to act like a "slut" and go cyber with every male character nearby >.>?

I'm female and my character is a miq'ote. I picked a female character so that I could at least look vaguely cute/sexy in the gear that I wear ingame. This mainly came after playing a baldy male hume in FFXI for 5 years.... gear really did not look sexy on this character type! (Well not to me anyway lol). So after staring at a pretty ugly character for all that time I wanted a change- every player wants a character that they don't mind looking at day after day.

The /pose is funny but to me not sexy... especially the stretchy cat paw thing at the end. But that's just my opinion; perhaps some "pixel pervs" out there will disagree :P

Does it bother me that someone might be looking at my character and fapping. No. They can take a screenie if they like, it lasts longer. Do I care that my character may be seen as a "sex object"? Hell no- its a game, ergo not real. How can you be embarrassed about a bunch of pixels on screen wearing a bikini? Although your character is sort of an extension of yourself and personality (or alter ego) in a fantasy game, it is not you personally running around in front of your server wearing this stuff.

If women are really that against their female character wearing this stuff, then fine, no-one is going to force you to put it on to strut around for guys in ^^ If they try then you could always charge... people are always saying we need more gil sinks in the game!

Only thing that I didn't expect in this event, was that I would be 1 of the maybe 2 male characters participating haha. After my 3rd or 4th bombard I was like, "Wow I think I'm the only male character here... oh well I like these odds!". Made for a humorous event.
