SE will not let me Pre order a collector's edition

So I have hit a brick wall it doesn't matter who I talk to it seem no one is willing to help, I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years from FFXI to FFXIV and I started out living in the UK which made my a account a EU version, now I live in the USA and I have found out the product codes are region lock, SE will NOT change my account to a USA one and UK SE Store will not accept orders from anyone outside the EU.....

So please tell me SE what the hell am I suppose to do here?

Nothing you can do unfortunately, about the best you can do is order the digital CE from amazon or the like once it they start selling codes.

I would but SE already confirm they would not be selling the CE version on amazon uK

One option is something that I know was done for 2.0: buy the version you can and swap codes with someone in the opposite situation.

Of course, better solution would be SE fixing their bullcrap system. . .

The digital download CE codes will almost certainly be available from other vendors in due time.

lets hope that amazon UK does then offer a digital version but considering they don't even offer a digital version of the normal game (last I checked) I am not holding my breath unless I can get someone in the UK to order and then send the overly priced physical version which will incur more shipping fees, but yes SE really need to fix this issue and allow us to take our account to whatever country we decide to move to with out fear of how am I going to get my expansions etc.

I hear steam users are having a bit of issue as well with the similar bs.

Failing that, I had similar issues being an early adopter and importer of FFXI, I had no issues ordering and importing expansions from Ebay, ask nicely and most small sellers are willing to open the box and email you the codes before they post it away.

What about proxy and buying from the website? Not sure if identification for store is ip or CC. If its Credit Card i know some online retailers sell prepaid cards from around the world.

I am guessing you just want a digital copy anyways.

So just a update I received this in response from SE and I quote:

Please be aware that you will not be able to order from the EU store while you are in the US. We can only advise that you purchase the game from another EU retailer if possible, as there is no way for us to resolve this for you.

So translation your screwed, not our problem and your money is no good here.

This just annoys me people move country it's not uncommon this day and age they should have things in place to accommodate customers where ever they choose to live.

This. On multiple levels.

Take a look at forum here: pointless, stupid character and post limits - none of them doing any good but at least punishing those who mean no harm.
Take a look at the game itself: sticking to bad design ideas (cash shop, housing, overuse of RNG, etc), the unholy trinity of "hardware restrictions / infrastructure restrictions / small dev team" excuses - time and time again issues are pointed out, SE goes ahead with whatever anyway, we're still feeling like they aren't actually investing money in the game, just put enough in it so that the basics can be done not to make the game feel (too) stale for (too) long.
Take a look at the online store: this massive sh××storm that's happened - and with the EU store only, JP and NA didn't face such huge issues from what I heard. Not to even mention the pricing for the UK.
And then the whole account management and region locking they have in place - has been awkward and cumbersome and confusing even in 1.0, and hasn't improved much since then (if at all).

Dunno about others, but to me, just listing these feels like crumbling under the weight of all the obsolete/bad systems SE should be fixing....
