none of that ^^^^ makes any sense.Kind of, at least fine in a game where RNG >>>>>>>> rest. If you are lucky, you get everything for free. If not, you can/must spend the game time of 2-6 AAA games to get the same.
Very, very strange for a MMO (and pretty much every other game), simply because it will make 0,01%- 0,1% of the players happy and everyone else will hate it. But it's their decision. Tipp for the players should be: don't care for it, you WILL be dissapointed else.
All of it does, if you or others don't understand it, work on your intelligence.
Correct. As said, it will make <1% of players happy and disappoint all others. Strange concept. It's a lottery. It's something you expect to 'never' win, even if you play it every week from here until the game shuts down. If you do win, it's absolutely fantastic.
Sure, you do such things in real life, because you want to bleed people dry and take all their money - but in a game? For the Gold Saucer as a whole it only got disadvantages, reducing the worth of all other activities, because while most of the players never will win, they will still hope to do.
What's next? Every weekly reset a free Level 200 weapon for a random player? I mean, why not? Lottery! Or why not a housing lottery? Every week a free house? Wouldn't be such a great win as the Jumbo kackpott, because even a big house is easier to obtain than 1M MGP, but I'm sure those winners would still be happy about it, no? And who cares about the others, those jealous ****.

winning the lotto doesn't give anyone a competitive advantage. giving a random person a higher level would. again your arguments are terrible. you need to keep trying though. one day you will succeed. What's next? What competitive advantage? In PvP? With max item level 80? No, it would just let them the grind. You just don't like the argument, that's all.
To be completely honest, the only strange thing about that would be anyone who took something called "Jumbo Cactpot" serious enough to let it cause problems for them. It'd be nice to win, but if you go in head first thinking you will... you have only yourself to blame for any disappointment that follows. Does it suck that I don't win? Of course, but I'm not gonna dwell on it for longer than 10sec maybe. It might be a video game, but its one that you're playing with other people. It's one that prestige can be an attractive concept (think of all the people who will be jealous of you if you were to win the 1st place prize and buy yourself a Fenrir mount).
