I've only played WoW when it came to expansion releases, but they've handled it quite well since catacylsm (very seamless and no server load/lag). I can only hope that SE can do the same with Heavensward.
Oh boy, don't think you tried to play WoD in wow the first week it released.....it was hell....
Also, yeah, I expect the game to be basically unplayable the first few days or so. That's how it is with all expansions. Never understood why someone would take off the day it comes out, you should expect the servers to fail.
So the expansion release date is June 19th? To me that means the real playable date is somewhere around June 23-30.
That'd be a step down then. Cataclysm and MoP both had very seamless transitions. I was able to play on the first day of release without any lag or server issues. The starting areas were booming and all was working properly.Oh boy, don't think you tried to play WoD in wow the first week it released.....it was hell....

Don't forget we also have early acess days too. If the games are that unstable up until release, why even bother. Though I'm here still fiddling around waiting for more info on the steam version and if that comes with early access.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
At least there WAS a queue. Like the previous poster said, this game won't even have a queue. The login servers will just break down and close your client. And you'll have to sit there logging in over and over and over an over...... hoping you get lucky enough to actually get into the game.
