Thread: 3.0 Launch - Server Planning

Protip: Do not queue for an instance the first 8 hours the servers come up, unless you like staring at a black screen of doom.

i'm sorry but i have to laugh at the folks that take days off work, I remember 2.0 early access and how bad that was. I'm assuming thats why the new early access is longer. as it is currently? I get a Q to log in more frequently than I have in months. I can't even imagine how bad it will be both during early access and then again on full release.

Players I am unsure, but there is definitely more content. If they ever want to expand housing, they will need more servers. Might as well do it with a large cash influx

What I'm worried about is not even gonna be launch day but the DAY before when were meant to enter the early access codes. They're giving themselves VERY little time (1 day) between the code registration and the day the game goes live from what we know atm. Literally I can see a zerg rush on the mogstation servers. Realistically they should just allow people to register a week in advance for this as ALOT of people are gonna be interested in this expansion.

I'm taking that entire week off work, buying a pack of energy drinks, and locking myself away. Even if the launch goes horribly, I'm going to allow myself to go crazy and enjoy the chaos.
