Pre-order early access will be completely hosed.
What's gonna suck is for people who have early access and are unable to play those days due to traffic. :-/
Just the login server, it creates and processes the line of players, often screwing up and force d/cing players, hands you a 1015 error or 2002 and asking you to force shut down your client, instead of keeping the client open and attempting to connect, which is ridiculously flawed. This method of operation can increase the chances of security compromises as you are repeatedly typing in your user+password and sending it over the internet again and again.
Why does the client have to force shutdown just because the connection to the login server didn't initially succeed? Fix it please.
Whether its the internet connection, the software, or hardware it needs to be addressed because it happens every time something big is released.

Meh. Like World of Warcraft. Every expansion is like this. I figure the same will happen for XIV or any popular MMO.
1.0 ~ Excalibur
ARR ~ Excalibur

Protip: Do not queue for an instance the first 8 hours the servers come up, unless you like staring at a black screen of doom.

i'm sorry but i have to laugh at the folks that take days off work, I remember 2.0 early access and how bad that was. I'm assuming thats why the new early access is longer. as it is currently? I get a Q to log in more frequently than I have in months. I can't even imagine how bad it will be both during early access and then again on full release.

Also, if they don't re-implement the auto kick afk it's going to be 2.0 launch all over again. Once people are lucky enough to actually log in they won't be logging back out. Everyone will just go afk instead. Let's see if they learned anything since then.
What I'm worried about is not even gonna be launch day but the DAY before when were meant to enter the early access codes. They're giving themselves VERY little time (1 day) between the code registration and the day the game goes live from what we know atm. Literally I can see a zerg rush on the mogstation servers. Realistically they should just allow people to register a week in advance for this as ALOT of people are gonna be interested in this expansion.
