I only managed to glance the physical CE pricing, but it was €130 as well.
^ If that is the case and it was 130 euros converted to GBP that is £92...
They think we don't understand conversion...silly SE we are smarter than you think :P
For people living in UK, they get £ prices. For people living in Europe but not UK, they get € prices. I asked them back when I wanted to pay my subscription in £ instead of € cos it would be cheaper, and I have neither of those currencies here so it's not like there wouldn't be a currency conversion either way. They said it was automatic depending on localization. I assume the same goes for the SE store (though I could be wrong).
(I just feel sorry for those who happen to have EU game and not live in EU, as they can't order from SE store and EU CE version will only be available from SE store "for now".)
The UK has always been a sort of treasure island to technology, consumer electronics, home video and video game makers. I can't remember any time when the prices in GBP were significantly different (numerically) from the USD prices for goods in any of these categories.
UH. Almost everywhere? The UK has always been a sort of treasure island to technology, consumer electronics, home video and video game makers. I can't remember any time when the prices in GBP were significantly different (numerically) from the USD prices for goods in any of these categories.
If a retailer were to post a 60$ game for £60 in the UK they would get destroyed for doing so. $60 games always have a RRP of £39.99 and generally sell on retailers for £35 or so.
A couple of years there was a few issues with a lot of publishers trying to price gouge the UK like SE are trying today and they got called out on it and stopped. SE is the first publisher I've seen do this for a while, at least a year.
Weird thing it's only the physical CE on the store that had this price gouging, everything else is converter properly.
Got to be a mistake purely because EVERY SINGLE GAME online (Amazon game Tesco etc) shows the right price as in its convertion against American online shopping sites. they must be fixing the prices. I bet £89.99 incoming
Go back over the last couple of decades and track the MSRP prices for games, consoles, DVDs etc, when they launch there is almost always price parity in purely numerical terms between USD and GBP. It's total crap, and exploits UK consumers, but it's been that way for as long as I can remember. The Net, and online retailers have helped somewhat, but the point still stands.UH. Almost everywhere?

The funny thing about sales tax in California is that it also varies by county, sometimes even by city. In Kings county sales tax is 7.5% where as in San Joanquin county sales tax ranges from 8% to 9%.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
