Any info about relic weapon in Heavensward?

Hi,

first, I'm german, so please do not flame me cause of translations ect xD

Do anyone of you have information if the relic weapon will be usefull or obsolete in Heavensward?

I've heard many rumours... you will gain an advantage, you can throw it away, it will be continued..... Since the Interviews and Live Letters aren't be translated in german so fast, I thought I could find some help in the english forums

As there are some people in my fc that don't have a zeta weapon yet, they are thinking of if it would be usefull to have the zeta before the addon or not.

You will be given consideration in 3.x if you own the Zodiac Weapon.

Starting in 3.1, players will be starting this "grow-your-weapon" venture, which we call the relic, again. Whether it is a continuation of the current Zodiac Weapon, or whether it will be something completely unrelated, has not been revealed.

Everything else you hear are some player's speculations.

Just remind that at the end of the current relic quest, it is clearly said the weapon is finished and cannot be improved.
But who knows... It could be a base for a next relic, a la Nexus -> Zodiac

The new relic type quest starts in patch 3.1. They are considering giving people who own a Zodiac some kind of advantage when starting the new quest.

You can always modify stats with a new sphere scroll right? Just got my Yoichi today but hope once I get the Gil I can add more to my desired stats.

Well whatever the case is SE needs to do it right. None of this "We're going to make the current stage easier come next patch, So the Relic will always be looked at as trash". Players put tons of time and gil into these fully upgraded Relics and they are 2nd to raid weapons (currently they are on par). Things really need to change come 3.0.

There is no reason why Relic weapons cannot compete with raid weapons every time a new tier is introduced.
