just keep it up, you need maim for yourself, if the NIN want to reduce his own dps by apply DE, over write your SE, let they them do it

I always start with DE as the opener combo cuz some WAR start with the Butcher combo to gain high initial enmity, which is actually not a bad idea at all depending on gear disparity. As a WAR tank, the NIN in my static would often pull aggro at the start for half a sec if I don't start with a Butcher combo and I don't have my buffs up (such as on trash pulls), which can sometimes get him one-shotted. Granted, he has really high-gear and does insane damage but I'm a high-geared full STR WAR.

I've noticed if I open with SE that very geared DPS can pull hate off me with their opener, but I've assumed that's because my warrior relic is only at the Novus stage. I just check people's gear at the beginning of the dungeon, and if there's a huge disparity in the weapon ilevel I change my rotation. In the meantime, I'm working on the relic; halfway there with light and have almost all the Zodiac drops, so it'll get better soon enough. :3I always start with DE as the opener combo cuz some WAR start with the Butcher combo to gain high initial enmity, which is actually not a bad idea at all depending on gear disparity. It's been said already but I can't stress this enough: Communicate.
Let your party know what you plan to do.
