    As a 3D art enthusiast I'm pretty critical of animation and visual effects. I have to say it's the Race's walk/run animations that we are all subconsciously drawn to and plays a large factor

    (After all, in this game we spend thousands of hours staring at the backside of the same toon running everywhere)

    The cat race has an excellent run/walk animation loop that moves forward along the ground-plane at a speed that looks physically accurate. Full hip and shoulder rotation that is legit.

    Elezen animation on the other hand.. terrible open world interactive animation, (looks better in cutscene tho). Their stride has no swing in the hips and shoulders (or at least it isn't convincing), it doesn't match the speed that they move along the groundplane.. they just lack appearance of forward momentum. (talkin about males, i haven't Q-Q'd female yet)

    Au Rau looks good and I'm excited! In the vids we see them running. They have a great stride like miqoute (hips/shoulders convincingly controlling leg stride/arm swing, shifting body weight with each step etc etc), wish they'd copy it over to elezen (seeiing as elezen/aurau share similar physical properties; height and liimb proportions)

    Main reason why I went Miqo'te, the more natural animations than the others, the rest just look.... off. Elezaan heads are too small, Roe, I'm not into muscles. Lolafails are just creepy, and walk with no knees XD TBH the 1.0 Lolafails animations where better. Hyur running animations are just too fragile looking.

    Miqos anims are just right.

    This guy gets it. I'd honestly much rather play a Duskwight Elezen like I did in 1.0, but the walk/run animations just killed them for me. Cat males had the best walking & running animations and the best /sit, so I went with them.

    If I could make an attractive afro-centric Hyur, I'd be all over that. But every time I tried, I'd just end up with a brown colored caucasian or japanese looking guy. I'll probably join half the people currently playing and switch to Au Ra when 3.0 drops.
