Thanks for the response and bringing back some hope. Many people, who were dissapointed after the long waiting for Gold Saucer, because of the low MGP rewards and very high prizes, welcome it.
But some people just want that cards (I don't need them, just explaining), even though they will not use them to play. RNG alone like Gaius can be very harsh. Linked to very high prices, it becomes devastating. You can easily farm the hardest NPCs for MGP without ever spending a single MGP on card packs. I never bought a single pack and TT is a LOT faster MGP than winning every single race I sign up for.
Should actually be more like 20-30%. You can defeat the "Imp" in 30s, make it 40s with the other stuff, when you got 60 cards with a 99% success chance (1% Draw). A chocobo races needs at least 180s (with all what comes before and after) That alone is over four times longer. And at R-180 for example you get around... 140(?) when you win? That's 405 to 140 (IF you win the race). And the MGP from sold cards not even added yet.Uh? It is actually quite a significant difference. I can get 4.5k/hour on Indolent Imperial and only about half of that from Chocobo racing placing first 70% of the time. That is a significant difference. I would say that warrants the use of "A LOT", in caps.
Yes, that's indeed a very big MGP sink. I don't even go for a perfect chocobo, only on the long term, I just want one, which is not crippled and able to actually win races (else it will get VERY annoying to bring it up to Rank 40 - and when the parents got terrible stats, you have to fight even more to get better ones after this). But even then, I got so many crippled chocobos, in RL I would sue this guys and call Greenpeace and PETA, because it seems like they torturing these pure birds behind those closed door or experiment on them. I more often saw Chocobos like these M * ** * * * F * * *** * * than anything else.I argue that there's even more RNG investment in Chocobo breeding than TT. In a SINGLE breeding (I am pedigree 4 now), I blew over 30k MGP in Grade 5 coverings trying to get ideal stats and hereditary skills. That's not including all the lethe water I've spent on the chocobo before it was retired. Every time a crap covering came up I lost 3.7k MGP. That's pure "invalidation" right there. I couldn't even progress past that stage till I got a good covering since you can't race with a retired chocobo and there's no real reason to keep ranking your birds past 40 in early pedigrees.
