Some Chocobo Racing Observations

1. An achievement higher than 500 wins is needed. By the time you hit Pedigree Level 6 or 7 you probably have 500.
2. Unlike player riders, you can't block the NPC riders. Doubt if that can be corrected.
3. In my opinion the cost of Lethe Water should be cut in half. You can spend many thousands of MPG trying to get a USABLE acquired ability.
4. If after breeding you get a poor hereditary ability you are really compromised as far as winning races goes. You are better off with a 4/1/4/3/2 with a real good hereditary ability than a 4/4/4/3/4 with a poor one. (This relates to winning races, not to future breeding.)
5. The announcement that more MPG will be awarded to riders sometime in the future is good news.

Chocobo food works with % grade 1 1%, grade 2 2% grade 3 3%.
When you feed it see that you can get a random bonus stats, but isnt really random its % round up. If you chocobo max stat is 100 doenst matter it always going to be 1 point using grade 1 food.

But if it is 110 to 190 you can get 2 points instead of 1, so save your food if you only get 1 point stats, if his max stat is 200 doesnt matter it alwayts going to be 2 points using grade 1 food...

You can block them out on some occasions (such as when NPCs are lining up for a chest), but most of the time their AI is such that they are always changing lanes. Its most annoying when you are approaching the finish line, they will move to block you out.

Chocobos get slowed down if they are riding just behind someone else.It also seems like moving lanes increases acceleration to some extend, judging by the initial few seconds of the race. As a result the npcs ai seems to move out of the way a lot; either to block or to avoid you.

Cunning plays a part in this. A bo with high cunning can push other birds out the way, or butt-block birds with lower cunning.
