    The only thing helpful really was that I logged in fine to the housing ward. As soon as I tried porting to Gold Saucer, I got stuck in endless loading. So I restarted the client and while I can get it loading, it never stops loading. The same thing happened to my FC mates.

    Edit: and even though there is nothing we can actually do, it would be nice if it was admitted, yes there is an issue. It's not our ISP it's the server.

    only reason they would suggest ISP being the issue is some net companies are known to attempt to block "ports" there are 5 that SE uses and sometime they have temp blocks or data packet loss to those ports

    I am not saying it is ISP but they are blaming ISP so fact we are all diff ISP would show them otherwise so they can stop saying it is that not them

    This is a common "technique" used by all IT services They know they have the problem but they won't admit it. They will suggest you that you have the problem but I'm sure they are aware of the problem.

    Cant really think of any cause other Server congestion or DDosing. Being stuck in a loading screen simply tells you that. Their server is too congested to fullfill your port request in order to enter "x" zone you want to port to in game. Alot of people must have sub after that free login week, but they didn't realized about the population and the congestion it will bring on the server.

    Used to work tech support for Comcast services, and I can say without a doubt that this is true. Can't even begin to tell you how many calls we would get per day from people being told by their ignorant "tech" that we were blocking <Insert Random Thing an ISP Wouldn't Block Here>
