simple solution = make your own party n speed run all you want.. Df isnt designed to cater for those who just wanna speed run everything

So basically you are the 5% of tanks who would do it, the other 95% would just get toxic or ignore it![]()
Reading the original post, it seems more like asking if anyone is hungry, no one answers, then making the unilateral decision to order a pizza with your choice of toppings and not telling anyone that, and when it arrives epecting everyone to chip in on the bill, and then being angry when they refuse because they didn't speak up when you asked a very different question than "do you want to order a pizza?"More like your friend says "I'm going to order food, do you want pizza?" Two of your other friends say yes. You don't answer, then you complain when they went ahead and ordered pizza anyway. Two people said yes, so they went with what the majority wanted because you never said you DIDN'T want pizza.
Pro tip: In DF it is not a players responsibility to tell you that they do not want a speed run, it is the players responsibility to ask if the group is okay with doing one.
Pro tip: When see new player notification pop up it is better for older/experienced players to ask if anyone needs help explaining the place rather than expecting new players who may be insecure about their abilities or surroundings to ask for help from a bunch of complete strangers they don't know which could be jerks towards them for standing out from the crowd.
PF and statics are better suited to speed running, with DF no-one agreed or signed up for a speed run prior to entering the place unless in a preformed party. The default with DF should be a normal run speed allowing for cutscenes, the speed run should not be the default (at least not in DF) and it should not be on the player to ask for a normal run...it should be on you to ask if they mind speed running when in DF. If someone says no then you should not speed run it, if everyone agrees then it is okay to do so. PF and statics allow for setting such rules and prerequisites before queuing up for runs and prior to entering while DF does not.
If you see the new player notification pop up then have the decency to ask if they need explanations for the place, it takes a measly second or two to ask and new players are sometimes shy, worried, scared or unsure about whether it is okay to point the finger at themselves or speak up and ask initially for help. The older players should be more understanding, considerate of new players and be willing to help them instead of treating them like a burden or a hassle. The older players should also set a good example when part of a group doing such things like dungeons. raids or trials, don't single out, insult and belittle the new players in front of the rest of the group. Even if come across a few bad apples in terms of some new players, it should not change how you treat the rest with more respect and decency, being helpful and not treating them like a hindrance.

I don't know how this topic became about whether or not people WANT to speed run. Generally most people do and I know that, we all know that. We've done braflox HM so many times that I want to pull all the things and be done with it.
That doesn't mean I do it without first checking gear and seeing if people CAN do it. It takes me 10-20 seconds to evaluate if the party can do a speed run, better that than charging off and saying TALLY HO COME AT ME MOBS and watching the healer /panic.
And please Open the map for them to have the Achievement.
Some veterans are totally arrogant and ignoring.
This is always happening to me when I still play at NA/EU server.
I keep changing server, and my max lvl not go far than 25.
After I move to Masamune, got into nice FC who can go static with me when I unlock new dungeon.
Well some new player not lucky like me, I know the Sh*t feeling when meeting the Primadona veteran.
If this keep happening people will not stay long in this game, and it will be dead even this game is good but toxic.
You know you can run through the unexplored parts of the dungeon yourself and get the mapping achievement after the last boss is dead and everyone else has left the instance, right? That's how I got my Sastasha mapping achievement. And please Open the map for them to have the Achievement.

:P PS3 is no excuse to not reply. Even when I didn't have a keyboard I took time to reply to people talking to me.
Granted there are some speed runs that are just NOT possible without being over geared, so it does irk me when tanks still try in that situation, if you need to know whats going on, you do need to speak up. I too hate when people just stay quiet and wait for us to wipe before asking for explanations.
If you're not going to take the time to learn the fight before hand, then at least let the team know so that we can be prepared for that~!
