I am worried, if it starts at 1 or 30, but there is no new quests from 1/30 till 50.

im guessing level 15 so players can jump into the dungeon que right away.

I imagine this too. It sounded like they were hinting it may be like Rogue where you can't pick it at character creation, but you'd unlock the quest at a certain level and then level the job from level 1 forward.I am leaning toward this interpretation as well.
1. You MUST have one of the existing base classes at 30 to unlock new jobs. Doesn't have to be any specific class, just one at 30.
2. The new jobs will start at level 1. They will have to be leveled outside of Heavensward areas because those are made for levels 50-60.
But like other people have said, who knows. So many different translations out there.

ehh i like the idea of 15 more then 30, 30 is the the point where you should have a good grips on your class, so skipping the endless fate grind of levels 1 to 15 and being allowed to go into dungeons sounds better, hell i think it will be level 10 that was you can get to grips on your character then book dungeon time when you got a good understanding of how the class works, if it skips to 30 were just going to see a METRIC buttload (real unit of measurement) to a imperial shittonne (again real measurement) of bad players who will only complain about how the jobs are difficult
if its levels 1 to 15, people will get the feel if its right up to 30 just watch as a lot of people just complain about the jobs being "hard" :\

1-15 takes what, an hour? Just do the hunting log, jump into any FATEs that pop near you, do job quests, and you're ready for dungeons before you know it.
always seems to be issues with mistranslations, maybe SE should hand out rosetta stone software for christmas bonuses lol

The reddit question mentions being mistranslated and then corrected by Bayohne, but they don't point out where that correction happened or what he said, and the question also asked about new areas being level 1 or not which adds another layer of potential misunderstanding.Considering the reddit translation of the interview regarding the relic weapons was hugely mistranslated I would honestly take any sources translated by anyone other than SE with a very large grain of salt. Japanese can be a very vague language and this can lead to a lot of confusion in translations sometimes.![]()

Don't forget the Challenge log, rested bonus, armoury bonus, leves, and any gear that boosts experience gains for early levels.

currently we need a 30 primary class, and a lv 15 secondary lcass to be come a job. To access the new jobs , we need to have a any class or job at level 30. We know they definitely won't start at 1. To make it fair it would be logically to start the new jobs at lv./ 15 so players can do dungeons and equal the same amount of time to reach a level 30 job as previous jobs. SE wants us to keep playing longer. I doubt they will start the jobs anything higher lv 15. and lv 15is reasonable to me
"It definitely won’t start at level one so you won’t have to scramble to get through thing such as guildleves”Considering the reddit translation of the interview regarding the relic weapons was hugely mistranslated I would honestly take any sources translated by anyone other than SE with a very large grain of salt. I personally believe that the new jobs will start at level 1 and Yoshi was actually referring to them categorically not being available to a level 1 player to unlock. His earlier statements about the jobs being available right away after you install the expansion were referring to current players who will already be high enough to do the quest to unlock them right away. Reading it that way it's easy to see how it could be mistranslated. I could be wrong, of course, but either way at least half of the translations we've had over the past few days must be wrong.
YoshiP specifically said you won't be doing Guildleves to level up the job. Guildleves, FATEs and Monster Hunting Logs are the only way to level from 10-15 for you to start doing dungeons.
Why would he say you'll not need to do Guildleves if the new jobs are starting at level 1?
Here's what I feel happens:
You start the game off at level 1 with a Class. You reach level 30 with said class, where jobs open up. Regardless of the Class you picked, you can switch directly to that new Job where it starts at level 15/30. They're sort of "optional" jobs which don't correspond with the story of the main base classes.
