Rare dyes obtainable through other means?

Hello my fellow Eorzeans!

So after about a month of sending my i110 retainer on quick ventures hoping for some metallic dyes with no luck, I was thinking since they have been out for a while now that SE could allow them to be obtained through different means.

How about through the gold saucer? I realize that everyone is going for the mounts/minions and vanity gear, but I think it would be great to be able to buy the rare dyes with MGP. After all FFXIV has enough RNG. Waiting for my ratainer to bring me the metallic silver dye for 6 months... a year even seems silly. Instead of the random factor I would like to be able to work for it by playing cards, racing, or just casually doing some mini games while queued for other stuff. Not to mention the mini cactpot in which I've won twice in a row now. What does everyone think?

I'd love it if they'd do this. I've been trying for the pure white dye for quite a while too, never seen it once. Seen other players give up on the dyes entirely.

Yes please! I've been spanking my retainers each time they fail to return with White Dyes. Save them!

Damn! I totally forgot about those dyes since I haven't seen them in months! I never did get a Black dye. I got a little of the others, but now I haven't gotten any in a very long time. I have 3 retainers with levels 100, 80 & 70 and new one I just started. I should've gotten something by now. We definitely need a new way to attain those dyes and NOT Cash Shop!

I'd support this as well. It seems really strange to me that you can get your i120->i130 items for basically free now with CT weekly OR through doing coils, but dyes only have one option that is ridiculously RNG grindy? I've really been wanting some pure white dye but my retainer really hasn't been working out for that either and it'd be nice to have another option.

How about change to allow selling those dyes on MB. Some of them are just taking up my retainer spaces and I don't think I will ever use them. I did consider to throw them away but since they are obtained randomly, it feels not right to just drop them.

The hilarious part is that the item description calls them "rare and expensive".

"Oh these are super expensive!"

"Can I sell them or trade them to see that?"
