lol! Almost every time Im in Toto-rak someone complains about it.
Yesterday I got a (paraphrase) "Toto-rak... its always freakin Toto-rak"
Honestly I hate Stone Vigil and Aurum Vale way more than Toto-rak. Bosses are easy, web traps are fun, plus I love popping the pods towards the end in Toto-rak. Stone Vigil is just horrendously long and uninteresting between bosses. Aurum Vale .... seriously, @#&$ that Morbol bastard!
My guess is its hated mostly because it pops a lot more frequently than the others.

Last night I was helping my GF through Aurum Vale cuz she needed it needed to open up Amdapor Keep.
How was it, you ask? Well... we wiped 7 times to the second boss, arrived at the final boss with 6 minutes on the timer, and wiped at 19% with like 98% of LB2 gauge filled.
AT FUCKING 3h40 IN THE MORNING.
I slept 3 hours cuz of this damn dungeon. I hope its' designer burns in hell for that.![]()

Halatai and Tota Rok are the most boring dungeons for me. Which is why Haukke and Brayflox become some of my favorites. They become a welcome sight once you hit 28/32.
Aurum Vale is more dangerous if you end up with a not too good group, though it is very good for getting exp. But what I usually get is Toto-Rak, Tam Tara and Sastasha, followed by Cutter's Cry and lately Brayflox. I only do low levels while leveling a class, but try to always level one until I have all at 50. Ninja is the last I have left (War or Magic disciples.)

Halatali at least tries to have something resembling mechanics and damage.
Toto-rak's slow as hell, but my actual least favourite to get in duty roulette is Tam-tara trashcroft. Because that's what it is. One million and one trash mobs until the boss.
I actually love Aurum Vale because if there's anywhere where things can (and will) go wrong in new and exciting ways for me to carry the party through, it's there. It's a more genuine test of skill than half the content available at level 50 I swear.
Late reply, but I'd like to say, one can only stun the bee and stay alive for so long if dps aren't attacking it at all...lol. Immunity is a thing in case you didn't know. If the bees on the first boss fight aren't dying, you will die eventually too. Better that the dps just do their one, simple job. I say this as someone who plays all roles and has been told I'm skilled with all roles, PLD particularly actually.
The mechanic of the bees was made to teach dps to prioritize and burn targets to meet a dps check, not to teach tanks to postpone their inevitable death by spamming stun while the dps kill the least urgent target. Stunning the bees is meant to buy the dps a little time if needed, not to postpone tank death, which is exactly what happens in Qarn many times for me at least.
I think the fact that, if I recall correctly, the bees resume Final Sting immediately upon stun wearing off proves my point as well.

I don't see anything wrong with Toto-rak other than it being like 30% of the Low Level roulette.
I actually prefer Haukke to Toto-rak though.
Aurum Vale is awful for no other reason than the debuff attacks first and last boss have. If your party is awful and/or your party doesn't understand "wait for 2 or 3 debuffs before fruit" then you're never completing it. Dealing with the trash though is annoying because tanks end up pulling more than they can really handle by virtue of so many of the mobs being closeby.
Haukke is just awful if your Tank doesn't tag trash immediately. Most groups just ignore the chests now. The final boss can be a pain if the DPS aren't paying attention.
Toto-rak is just long and boring... and really long if your Tank isn't looking at the freaking map.
Copperbell mines, is still kinda fun, but only if you're not the healer, as the current strategy is basically "ignore the adds and burn the boss as fast as possible", as soon as the adds are done spawning, they head straight to the healer.
But Aurum Vale is still the one I hate the most.
Definitely feel the same. It isn't hard, not by a long shot. It's just... Boring. It's slow and plodding, and you're fighting the same mobs you fight pretty much anywhere else. Not to mention there's no mechanics involved until the very last boss (not that the first couple of encounters should be classified as bosses at all).
It's just a boring dungeon in a gross looking place. Most disliked dungeon of the lot.
You hate it when new people want to get full experience out of a dungeon? How awful for you.
