best class role for Titan primal trial?

I'm getting towards leveling the only class skill left, ROG, to 30 (for NIN). After that, I'll continue the storyline quest where I left off, on the way to face Titan, the 2nd primal, as well as going all the way to endgaming.

I'm thinking of giving up the class skill I started with (ACN), and continuing with a different class, any suggestions? Is a tanking class a good option?

It'll get to the point where that fight bores you. That notwithstanding, NIN has a very minor advantage over any other job dodging in that fight due to enhanced movement speed. And tanking it is easiest due to most mechanics not even being capable of targetting you. Tanking Titan doesn't get even remotely challenging till extreme.

Level whatever role you enjoy the most. The jobs are all fairly well balanced-- it is really up to you which one you like well enough to make your main.

I was just thinking, I could go as MRD, so I could enter the primal battles and dungeons easily, as to a DPS class role, where I could wait ages. I think I've gone off the ACN class since using and leveling up the other classes. Also, I may need to change the characters main class on the forum.

Tank and healer queue times are generally less than 5 minutes for most duty finder content. DPS jobs are typically 10-20 minutes give or take for most things outside of roulette and 24 man raids.

Personally I say pick something you enjoy for your "main" and level/gear up an "alt" that plays a different role for either fast queues or for variety if tank/heals are already your main.

Keep in mind that leveling ACN gives you both a DPS and a Healer option at 50. So getting your ACN to 50 isn't a bad choice for the first class since SCH will still have fast queue times.

Just play whatever you want. This game is balanced for all classes. (at least they try) You can accomplish anything as any class.

Everyone here has clearly not done Titan story mode in DF recently. You have a better chance of clearing Titan EX in DF than story mode in DF.

If you have a FC, ask for help with the fight. It's not hard, but it's a staggering block for many people, and those are the people you will get in DF.

Eh, Hard Mode's Mountain Buster can be a real pain for an undergeared tank. Titan HM was probably the first time in the game that I actually felt like I needed to use my defensive cooldowns. It was a good learning experience!

But, yeah, for Trial Mode, if you're not confident in your dodging skills, go as a tank. If you ARE confident in your dodging skills, go as a healer. That way, you lose the risk of ending up with a derpy healer that just can't seem to move out of the way of Landslide. A healer and a tank can pretty much duo Trial Mode Titan, so even if both your DPS go flying you can still win the fight. Well, as long as you get through Heart phase before the DPS take the plunge.

Tank... you don't actually have to do anything besides spam your aggro combos. Movement is minimal and risk is next to none. It's the laziest option available, and the easiest to play. If you want a more challenging role, try Black or White Mages.
