    My most frustrating instance had to be this weekend. I'm working on my third relic (BLM) and currently on book 4. Well, I had Copperbell HM as one of my book dungeons. I sit in queue for close to a half hour. We get in the instance, everything is going ok at first. Then we get to the last boss. It is mentioned that this is a book dungeon and I need to be sure to be alive for the boss to get credit. It comes out that the NIN is also on her book (so, both DPS were doing it for their book and needed credit). The WHM doesn't heal us at all for the last boss, only heals the tank. We both die. I state again, "please raise, we need to be alive for credit." Well, the WHM raises me, doesn't heal me at all after that. The boss immediately does his AOE and I die again since I had almost no health after being raised. The NIN never gets raised. They kill the boss, leaving both DPS dead on the ground, and neither of us get credit for the dungeon. I was absolutely more livid than I have ever been in this game in the last year.

    wow, that is pretty crappy >.>;

    Just so you know, I believe as long as you're alive in the dungeon (and it doesn't matter where) you'll get the kill credit. So if push comes to shove, just release and hope you res before it dies and see if you get credit for it.

    So, are you saying it's best then to return to the beginning of the dungeon?

    If the people are being jerks about keeping you alive, yes. Supposedly as long as you're alive anywhere in the dungeon, you will get credit for your Atma (though I have personally never had the opportunity to test / prove this, this is only hearsay from other sources)

    I guess I'll have to try that, if in the future, I get another horrible healer. It seems lately, there is an increasing number of awful healers in the game.

    Running WoD last night to get my drop for the week, the tank ignored Mortal Gaze and died to Doom more than once. I don't say anything, just raise. But a dps calls the tank out and the tank freely admits that they don't pay attention to Angra Mainyu's attacks. Ok. So next boss, the tank decides to MT and eats all of the five headed dragon attacks, including the one that causes a healing debuff where my cures only hit for 300 hp. Benediction gets used and the tank still drops. The whole raid wipes and tank is like "what happened to my healers? " Second try: same issue, but this time I'm prepared for the tank to eat everything and I spam heals. Tank dies anyway but it's close to the end so it doesn't wipe the raid. Tank was like "what happened that time?" I tell tank he had healing debuff and the other healer says stay out of aoes next time.

    T l d r : if you choose to ignore mechanics, don't yell at the healers when you die.

    WOD is more mechanic intensive than CT or ST, so it's natural to see people try to face roll and get punished for it. Sadly, since I am a healer, I get punished for my party's incompetence.

    Ouch. That's painful. This is actually why I wish when working on the animus books, it shouldn't matter if you're alive or not at the end. Just so long as you're holding the right weapon that your animus book demands, you should get credit anyway. But I don't see SE changing that, so I'd take the other poster's suggestion about releasing and rezzing should you get a crappy healer again.

    That said, while I never did consider it much of a horror story, reading that reminded me of a run in the Lost City. Everything went smooth (for the most part) in that place until we got to the final boss. Just earlier in the dungeon, I had checked the equipment of all the party members. Two of them had Atma weapons. (Both DPS) Things went downhill due to the impatience of the Tank. Before anyone even had a chance to ask the question of "Burn or doors?", Tank immediately charged. The questions pops up from the SMN after the Tank had already charged. As a result, my hotbar wasn't set up to handle doors at the moment, so I mentioned in chat that I'm just going to have to power heal through it. (Like all burn rushers do against that boss now)

    I knew trouble was around the corner when I noticed the DPS output wasn't fast enough. Diabolos gets off his signature attack twice, causing all of us to have heavy stacks of defense debuff. I have to waste 2 Lustrates on the Tank to ensure the Tank survives, and then I aim a Lustrate at the SMN. While Lustrates come out quicker than Benediction, there's still that chance of being screwed over by that 0.1 second difference. I see the Lustrate go off on the SMN, only for the SMN to fall over anyway from another hit by Diabolos. I quick shift to helping my fairy heal the NIN so that the NIN survives too, quick heal myself, and then start swiftcast rezzing the SMN. The moment I bring my thumb down on the button, I see my rez macro go off, but the spell doesn't go through because the boss JUST got killed the moment I did that, causing the SMN to not get a rez.

    Said SMN was understandably pissed off and yelled at everyone. Only part that nagged me was that the SMN also specifically decided to call me out too. While I feel I could have been a bit quicker on the responses of the crap that was happening so fast, I feel like most of the blame should have gone to the Tank for being so impatient and not even waiting to see if we were going to be doing doors or a burn rush. BTW, said Tank immediately left the moment the boss was killed. No time for treasure nor commends.

    So I'll repeat: SE should change it so that it doesn't matter if we're dead at the end of the dungeon to get credit. Only that we should be holding the weapon that the animus book demands. But again, I don't see that happening.
