Heavensward will have less raiding content then A Realm Reborn

So I just saw the PAX video and when they were going over the new raid they said it will have a easy and hard mode of the same raid so it will be like WoW that has LFR and normal version of the same raid.

At the moment In a Realm Reborn we have two different raids Crystal Tower the easy raid and the Binding Coil the hard raid.

I am disappointed they are changing this and just going to copy WoWs system as we will end up with less raid content.

The current system we have of having two different raids one that for the more causal types and another one for the more hard core types was a much better system and something no other MMO I had played had done before.

Pretty sure there will be another raid area for 24 man raids. Granted I missed the stream so, I dunno if they said they are going to make the easy mode Alexander a 24 man and the hard mode an 8 man. *shrug* Did they say that? Because if not, then Alexander should be an 8 man raid, Easy or Hard. That would still leave us with a 24 man raid to do.

Or there will be a Normal and Hard raid, Alexander, that will be the new 8-man raid to replace Coil, and also a new 24-man raid (which may or may not have two difficulty tiers).

The 24-player easy-mode raids are too damn popular (and fun) to drop. While the 3.0 patch is likely to be somewhat sparse with new endgame content, I doubt that we'll be starved of it for long. Same as how 2.0 was.

Also people actually consider CT a raid? By loose definition i could understand(24 people) but I mean it's not even challenging.

They've already confirmed that there will be another 24-man raid arc for 3.0.

As others have said the one they were referring to is the replacement for coils I believe, it will contain two modes. They have also said in the past that there is going to be another raid to replace the crystal tower but they have not said what that is yet.

All they said was that the 8-man Alexander raid would have two difficulty modes from the start to cater to different playstyles with different rewards (instead of tacking on Savage mode later on with no loot). There was no mention at all of the 24-man CT style raid being removed (in fact we already previously got confirmation of it months ago) but nice try with the provocative thread title based on zero factual information.

Also, the 1st Crystal Tower raid was released in 2.1, not during the initial 2.0 release.
