I kinda hope so its over. Maybe they can focus on the war of Magi

This looks very Allagan to me. I am guessing its a remnant of the Allagan/Meracydia conflict and that Ishgard are seeking to use it.
This struck me as very Warring Triad-esque.
It's only shown for a brief second, but it has three distinct shapes, I guess. A wing (Goddess?), an almost helix shape and then just something. Surrounded by lava... We're meant to be getting the Floating Continent... Yeah... Fun things coming in June.

The resemblance is uncanny. The one covered in lava looks just like the symbol (minus the other half) see throughout Akh Afah Amphitheater.

I'm actually wondering if that place will be our next Praetorium, and not a stand-alone raid.
Worth noting that we'll seemingly be visiting the abandoned Sharlayan settlement in Dravania as well.
Also worth nothing... That energy bubble to the right just at the start? Sure seems like where Alexander might be to me...
Sharlayan abandons settlement in 1.0. Goblins move in. Discover Alexander. Que new raid.
I think this is what people mean by the island that looks Allagan:
Here is from the new trailer:

Someone posted the sprite comparisons over in General. Those three out-of-focus statues don't just vaguely resemble the Warring Triad. Pretty sure that's them.

I can't wait to see that place in person![]()
Holy crap how'd I miss this post? Yeah, those are the same damn thing...
In the Amphitheater I payed them no mind, figuring they were just some form of heretic symbolism showing their relationship with dragons (even if the second half looks completely bizarre), but this half melted one is practically up on a pedestal, so it must be somewhat important... Couple that with a far more obvious (though visually obscured) version of the Triad sitting at the Allagan Floating Fortress and it seems like the Triad is going to be a central plot point for 3.0... And our first hint as to their existence has been sitting there since 2.4... Bravo developers!
I wonder how true to VI this is going to be... Famously the Espers of VI were created during the War of the Magi by the Triad to fight for them... I'm wondering if something similar is happening here; Goddess creates Warriors of Light. Demon creates Primals. Fiend creates Dragons. Think I've suggested something like that before...

Let's not forget the Earthquakes caused by the Crystal Tower could have made much of Eorzea unlivable. Who knows how long the quakes lasted, the last remaining Allagans may have left to the Sky and founded and built these structures. There without the readily available aether of the land they could have started slowly losing their technological advantages. Devices they had once enchained Dragons with began to fail and yeah, a war they could no longer sustain. But who knows, they could still exist and live there.
