By the time ppl start scratching the surface it'll be like where did everyone go? Probs off doing stuff in life or just lost interest in the game. The achievement is too long imo as the gillionaire title pales in comparison now lool

No.
When we said that if youd take something like 50 years, it was not a hyperbole, it was 50 actual years.
Statistically, these achievements (the 1,000,000 in jumbo cactpot and the mega achievement) are litteraly impossible to get for the vast majority of the playerbase.
Except that there is no progress to be made for the jumbo cactpot achievements. It's either you win or you lose... and the odds say that you'll more likely lose.
You cannot compare it to the tanks mounts achievements. For these achievements, you can control your progression. For the jumbo cactpot, you can't. And no, it's not because you play every week that you'll have it, unlike the bear and the lion.
Even if you are the most dedicated player in the world, you'll most likely not unlock these jumbo cactpot achievements. Ever.
While having one achievement related to winning the jumbo cactpot is somewhat fine, having the mega achievement related to it is not.
They build GS to last the Game but didnt do the MATH for it. the .000000001% of people who hit the Jumbo Cackpot will get the achievements, those people will also either buy the Fenrir Mount or Cloud's Card. Gating cumulative numbers might see some people get get any of these items or achievements at some point; the amount of IRL time for it to occur is longer then 99.9% playerbase's age. This isn't something achievable several years down the road for 50% of the players, this is something 99% of the players WILL NEVER SEE because the game will have died before they're 1/2 way through.
That is a Problem.
Highest payout on my current minicactpot ticket: 306. Yeah, I would only need to do 3000 of these for the achievement, should only take me like 9 years at this rate.
On the brightside tho, this is the obsolute maximum amount of time it can take! (probably)

Personally, the thing I find most ridiculous about this achievement is the time limit for the two Cactpots. The Jumbo should be once a day, and the Mini should have no limit. If we had less strict limits on these two games, I highly doubt we would be seeing that many Fenrir mounts running about. If someone wants to "lose their shirts" on these games, I say let them. If they win big, good for them. Given the current restrictions, any possible MP payouts are a complete joke. You'd think SE would want their players to succeed and get excited about the Golden Saucer. Right now, materia melding is more thrilling.

Well, at least it's not the "Who Wants to Be a Gillionaire?" achievement. (Honest Gillionaire title)
That, is one hell of a grind not even RNGesus can deliver you from. x_x
Being cumulative provides multiple ways to win it, although they all require a great deal of luck. A few people will get it by winning first prize once, and a few more will win it by getting a greater than average number of wins in the 2nd through 4th prize range. (It's still true that the average player won't ever get it, but the average player won't get a lot of achievements.)I think the person who said the Jumbo Cactpot achievement isn't intended to be won by many people—that it's just something for lotto winners to wear—raises a valid point. However...
2) it seems very clear to me by the use of the word "cumulative" that SE did not have this in mind.

There are 362,880 different combinations for scratchers, 34,560 have a potential jackpot, which is 2/21.
If you go for the jackpot every time and know what you are doing, you should hit the jackpot on every ticket that has a potential jackpot. That's 1050 tickets to reach 100 jackpots, which would get you the accomplishment not including the non-jackpot tickets.
How to always get a jackpot if it's there:
-scratch to reveal middle, two adjacent corners, and the opposite side, ex
XOX
OXO
OXO
-pick the only line that can have a 1, 2, and a 3 in it
-if there is no such line, go for a big number
You're right; I hadn't considered the cumulative second and third place prizes.Being cumulative provides multiple ways to win it, although they all require a great deal of luck. A few people will get it by winning first prize once, and a few more will win it by getting a greater than average number of wins in the 2nd through 4th prize range. (It's still true that the average player won't ever get it, but the average player won't get a lot of achievements.)
"You shouldn't get it quickly! lololhuehuehue" = "I don't know what I'm talking about! lololhuehuehue" Does nobody actually think about what they're saying before they say it? Lets just think about how long it would take for Work Smarter, Not Harder, shall we?
Jackpot: Grats, you got it instantly. 1/10000 chance to do it. Chances are you will never ever get it.
2nd Prize: You need to win it 10 times. That's a 1/1000 chance 10 times. Good luck with that, because you'll probably never get this either.
3rd Prize: You need to win it 100 times. But hey that's only 2 years if you get that 1/100 prize 100 times in a row.
4th Prize: 1000 wins. Only 16 years with a far superior 1/10 chance of winning.
Consolation: You lost, but you still got something. You're guaranteed to get at least this. In 228 years, you too will have this achievement as your own.
So, tell me again how that's reasonable for an achievement, let alone an achievement which is part of another achievement which has another RNG based achievement part of it. Please, do it.
Nailed it.
