^ThisPlease no, that would be adding a bandage to a bad design, not fixing the problem. Changing it to a stat-profile per class is the way to go, and hopefully we will see it implemented sooner than later.
As to your other suggestion about the system subtracting the points needed to increase the stat by one I do like, and agree it would be a nice addition.
Current stat allocation works against the armory system and is more than an annoyance!
