Um, the guy advertising his carries does know that we're only allowed to transfer with a million gil, right? I doubt that's going to be enough to pay for a T9 + carry.

Either they missed that detail when spamming the forum with their ads or they're just trying to bait us into their server for whatever reason(?)

I've never noticed that before. However last night in WOD someone did advertise a FC before Dark Cloud.. But I'm taking their word for it being a wrong macro. As the first reply was " You do know that were all from different servers right?"

Actually also happened to me recently... but was more like wtf a macro do i have on this bar... accidentally clicked it and spammed FC shout mid of Cloud of Darkness fight. Said sorry in alli chat and actually didnt remember it because we are atm happy with the size our Fc has not intending anytime soon.

Bout the topic... all I know are the posts mentioned... find it funny as my server is the one you can buy anything from almost all endgame guilds even savage D:
And some people thinking bout server transfers that make lvl 1 alts mby lvl to 10 and then decide.

They do that? Ive seen in in realm forums but never in game. I guess its possible they might find someone who is already looking to transfer to another server but seems like a waste of time. Maybe its a WoW thing since they have something like cross-realm guilds now.

Absolutely.

Gold sellers I have learned to ignore. they aren't drama causing.

They don't join your fc, then proceed to spam everyone in the fc with ads, forcing a kick, and deeply embarrassing our recruiter, causing drama.

I have had to spend more time dealing with this one incident, than with all the gil sellers combined...

Honestly, I place this kind of harassment on the same level as the FC robbers that have been propagating recently, that join random FC's, stay till they get promoted above applicant, rob everything they can access from the fc chest, then leave. we have had 4 of thiose recently on our server, and have had to make an "fc leader" LS, just to spread the info about them around.

The really just need to raise/lift the restriction on gil you can transfer. It does little to nothing to slow RMT, and causes significantly headaches for legitimate players. No, your server economy won't hurt if someone brings a few extra mil. It won't hurt if a few hundred people bring a few extra mil. What will hurt it is the sudden influx of thousands of market board fodder items that suddenly crash prices.

You guys constantly saying this do know that it's by and far one of the least viable ways to move gil, if not hands down the worst way to do so, right? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that those suggesting it have never actually done it.

To move 1,000,000 gil you would need:

100 platinum pieces
400 gold pieces
2,000 silver pieces
10,000 bronze pieces
40,000 tin pieces
5000 clear I
1000 clear II
200 clear III

Again, that is for one million gil. Even then, availability is so low that it would take months to get them, and you're going to be paying far more than their value at that. This is just not a thing that will never ever be feasible. Please stop suggesting it. Thanks!
