That is sad but I see it all the time too. I can understand not having the man power but, I've seen a few F2P player made games that use players as GM's. They should start this! I bet there are a lot of people that would do it for free! It would be easy to have a contact/something to make sure people don't troll/abuse the power.

They have 500K subs? If even 100 of them were willing to do it for free that is 100 more eyes that would be able to play the game as normal, then switch over to another account when they see this.

Haha I love that one of the tags for this thread is "SE just doesnt care". I see the same people bot-farming wind shards in Central Shroud every time I'm there. They're running the same pattern over and over, running past potential nodes, even when those nodes obviously aren't currently up. It's ridonkulous. I've reported all of them, but nothing ever happens. It used to be that every once in a while, my completely full block list would suddenly have some [DELETED] in it. "oooh!" I'd say to myself. "Did someone actually get banned?!" Now that never happens.

That basically mirrors my experience, Feron. My blacklist is still completely full and I've checked occasionally during the past few weeks and none of them have been deleted since about 2 months ago, which was when I last cleaned it out. At this point I just never turn of /busy and communicate exclusively through linkshells, FC chat, and /say. This has gotten so bad that I (and more than a few others) feel that the only recourse is to ELIMINATE AN ENTIRE METHOD OF COMMUNICATION. That is beyond ridiculous.

I'm not sure if it's just my server, or just me, but I only ever get about 1 gold spam a day at MOST, most of the time I go 2/3 days without one.

Accounts can be banned while not having the name deleted.

I'm tired of having to tell my frienss "oh sorry i'm in busy status hold on". I need to use busy status every time I login the RMT /tells are relentless.

Y - Remove The Free Trial. (Again, this is an idea, and I don't mean to delete the free trial entirely, let me explain) One thing I noticed was that there are two different types of free Trials. The Free Trial which you can sign up for, freely, and the Recruit a friend Trial. I would recommend keeping the Recruit a friend Trial, and removing the free Open Access trial. That way, it keeps out the RMT Rabble. Sadly this causes a problem for users without access to friends who play the game, and may not be the best practice for Square to do. (Perhaps a Trial Integration with Facebook? just a sub thought)
And of course, there is the fact that the Recruit a friend trial could be abused, I'm sure this happens, but I have an idea to prevent this as well. If a friend you have recruited gets reported for RMT Advertising, you are no longer able to recruit a friend, Preventing RMT Bots/ advertisers, from abusing that system.

some of the Free Trial restrictions:

- You may possess up to 20,000 gil.
* Once you reach this gil limit, subsequent gil acquired will not be added to the total amount.
- The shout, yell, and tell chat features will be disabled.
- The market board features will be disabled.
- You will not be able to trade with other players.
- The mog letter features will be disabled.
- You will not be able to hire retainers.

Now explain how this help RMT?

I never used to use Busy but I do now. Sorry but it's outrageous and needs to stop. Add a tell from FRIEND's ONLY OPTION. It can't be that hard unless you really want people using and having to deal with these losers.

i'm really tired of the RMT spam. Having to be in busy status to avoid it breaks the game for me because many of my game hours i serve as an "game-related question answering" member for my in game friends.
