This isn't real life. Catering to a single portion of a sub base is dumb. My opinion still stands.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinamatsuri
It's a cultural event.
It's complaining is like Father's day is catered to males or Mother's day is to females.
Um... Not really. It's like complaining that Father's day is catered to males when there is no Mother's day.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinamatsuri

It's complaining is like Father's day is catered to males or Mother's day is to females. In other words, a pretty valid complaint.

Can we have an event with bikini mud wrestling? Maybe take some of the outfits from TERA and call it Chicks in Tight Things day. I feel like the tumblrites are really reaching for something to complain about and we need to throw them a bone before there's an outbreak of back injuries.
Only in video gaming would an innocuous fictional holiday celebrating daughters in a game encourage MRA stupidity (redundant, I know) from its alleged fans.

I don't really like current event for various reasons:
- It cost you more gil since the tele cost are more expensive than the reward you get. (not counting the random bonus from sacks).
- Goals quite unclear. Don't really know how many effort needed to complete the set.
- Can't even stack maps. And what's worse: you can only hold just 1 ragged piece of doll shits. Found this out the "hard" way.
- I'm a man, and this is clearly not manly event. lol
So yeah, I already stopped doing it once I have enough sack to buy those outdoor furniture for my FC. lol

Actually if you complete the quest, the quest + the chest reward earns you a little bit of profit even if you teleport.

Er, the necklace is for both genders. I guess no one reads the Dev blog.
