I agree, we really, really need more housing allotments. I get that there is "plenty of space" on less populated servers.

That's great, but what about the populated servers? We shouldn't be punished for playing gin a big community. It's not like we control the situation and who comes to our servers, and it's wholly unfair.

They don't need to incentivise playing on overpopulated servers versus the less populated. You want all the benefits of playing on a bigger server with none of the downfalls. They should add land to all servers, not just let smaller servers die because everyone has to play on Balmung.

First of all, some of us were on Balmung before it apparently became "The" place to be. Why should we be punished because people keep flocking to our server?

Nobody is saying to let smaller servers die or not to add land to them. Not once. All we're asking for is that they take the more populated servers into account, too.

And I'm sorry but "You want all of the benefits of playing on a bigger server..." WHAT benefits? Constant wait queues, no housing, more lag....yeah, so many benefits to people piling onto our server. Sure.

Really the issue is personal housing. It's neat and all but ruins it for every FC that wasn't there since the beginning. All personal housing should be moved into an instanced house in say Revenant's Toll which only appears as your house unless you're in a party. Then you have a right click option to go to your own of your party leader's. Or so I think anyway.

I disagree on this idea, as it isolate personal housing to where it is right now. I live on a lower populated server, and my FC was able to buy out multiple houses in the same division that was anything but populated. We created a second stomping ground for our FC, which in turn brought more people to the plots and created a small community. Your idea would break that neighborhood mentality that many (including myself) strive for.

And that only 2% of the whole gaming community can currently access, too. Although you did it in an underpopulated server, your kind of people is kind of the problem right now with the housing issue, and will be for as long as no instanced housing for everyone is given.

What do you do when supplies of something are running low? You save them. Avoid buying multiple houses per account; if possible, avoid buying personal houses entirely, and instead get them as FC home. An FC home can house multiple players vs a personal house will host only one person.

My friends and I only have one FC house and no personal houses and are happy with it. It's bigger with all the personal rooms we aded with our alts, too.

Dunno why anyone would want one house for themselves alone when they're so tiny and the neighborhood so empty.

    EDIT
A suggestion I've been suggesting for a while, but that I doubt will be considered since it'd require a general overhaul of the housing system:

Step 1) Make instanced housing. This allows everyone to have a house, especially if instead of gil it asks for GC points or Main Scenario progress like for most of other games. I'm thinking of an instance similar to the Demon Doors in the Fable games, with house, yard with field, well and whatever. It would start with small, and will be able to be expanded through further accomplishments.

Step 2) Make the housing wards, limited as they are now (since they don't have the servers do add more currently). For a fee (like the current fees we have now), you'll be able to move your instanced house inside the ward. So for example, 4M to move your instanced Small Hut into a Mist Small Plot. Of course, the price will raise with your instanced house's size, and you'll need to select a plot your house can fit in.

This way, all those who want a house can have a house, and all those who actually care to have a neighborhood (and will use it), can have a neighborhood. Houses for all, and no more ghost towns.

Saying we're the problem sounds like you're implying we're at fault. We did nothing wrong, we spent our hard earned gil, and we created houses that we actively use. We didn't strong arm anyone out, nor did we isolate the people who were already in our subdivision. So spare me your preachy tone, all I am saying is the solution doesn't reside in ostracizing personal housing.

To be frank, I'm not sure why it's so hard to add more wards.

They don't seem to have trouble allowing everyone to have their own private chamber. How are wards and houses any different? It's all just data no? A private chamber is effectively a small house/ultra small ward.
