The starting-over-jimmies are coming, help me!

So I'm at a pretty mid-endgame point right now where I have all 3 roles to 50, a crafter and a gatherer maxed and, just pretty much standard stuff.

I've been getting slightly bored lately, but don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the game.

Problem is, I need change, and this is something that happens in almost all games I play. I have this need to create a new character and just... start over fresh, I don't know why and I don't want all those hundreds of hours on my character wasted, and I even feel a bit nostalgic for my character if I create a new one.

Can someone advise me?

I have multiple accounts. I have a catgirl on one, a lala on another and my hyur on my main. They're fun. They are a lot of work though leveling and getting cross skills and keeping up to date with gear and all. Lately I've been too busy to attend to them like I used to. Relic stuff is primarily responsible I suppose.

Get all classes to 50 and bear it out till the expansion.

Dunno what content you do, but you could try raiding. Alternatively, work toward things on your crafter/gatherer, like getting the best gear. Key to having any fun at 50 is to set goals for yourself, otherwise you'll run around aimlessly.

I don't want to manage more than 1 character though, I want to have 1 main and that's it, I was never good with alts

There's really no reason to make an alt since one character can do anything. Just pick up another class. Maybe do housing.

That's one of my favorite things about this game. If I want to get that "starting all over with a fresh character" feeling, all I have to do is switch to a new class I haven't leveled yet.

Theres PVP, maps, that puzzle thing where you only have clues to find locations forgot what it was called, sightseeing log, raiding as someone said and achievements which some give you a reward for completing.
Rep grinding, mount grinding, pet grinding.

You can advance your crafting further but these are from the top of my head right now.

Do you have many friends in the game? Maybe the change you need is really just a social one. Being new gives you people to relate with and to me a big part of the fun in this game is the social aspect.

I'd recommend finding a new FC/LS or a static group to play with and make some friends. Once you have a bunch of friends around you'll find yourself doing things you don't even need to do just to help out all the time and it will be more fun in the process because you have people to chat with.
