I'm not that very great at figuring out what I need atm and I've been scrambling to read up and find out what I should be working on gear wise to get for the bahamut coils.

CRIT vs DET

1. The relationship between the two depends on WD and INT.

2. Increasing WD or INT will require higher DET to keep up with CRIT

-That being said the current break point (Non-Crafted BiS for 82 WD + 682 INT) in which 1 DET equals 1 CRT is 292 total DET (+90 to 202 base)

-So if you have 82 WD and 682 INT and your DET is:

less than 292 -> invest in CRIT

more than 292 -> invest in DET

at 292 = Adding more CRIT won't hurt unless you also add more DET

Thanks a lot Puro this makes sense. Last week i reworked my Zeta a bit and r-ebalanced my DET/CRIT to have them on equal quantities above 294 DET so i assume we had the same conclusion here

I would like to use this post to let you know that, when i first read you like one year ago i was a garbage BLM using a broken rotation / bad stats, and now thanks to you i'm a 200% different player - pushing quite high DPS regardless of the content and using all of your twisted tricks and advices. I study your stuff like 2 hours per week (at work ) and basically before each upgrade i could get to make sure it's not bad.

I honestly think you made an awesome job improving the BLM community. One of my best moments when i was on US Data Center is when after a Frontline match i noticed you were in the match & i did more damage than you i was screaming oh my God i DID BEAT Master Puro ! Took a screencap as well XD

Have you considered the current possible rotations? Opening with B3 to get RS, Voiced Foe, Potion with an extra Fire while having Selene.

Has anyone given much thought on a 6-fire build now that relics are i135?
Just did a bit of messing around on ariyala and got this, although it's only geared for 470 ACC.

Sure. How about this? Doesn't require any Coil gear either. Left side all i130. Should work for most races. Relies on doing Blizzard I/Thunder I in the Umbral waiting phase. There's some flexibility in the melding. Most races would need 31-35ish PIE melded on caster accessories and 28 on the Zeta to do it without food. The set shown uses food. But change the melds to 2x PIE IV's on 3 of them, and 1 on the last one and you can probably hit 305 PIE without food/SCH buff.

Ideally add 2x Spd IV's on each melded accessory, which leaves 1 materia slot on each of the 4 pieces for accuracy, crit, or det. Odds are you'll want accuracy.

INT loss is 28 vs a full i130 right side. Partly made up for by melding a bunch of spd.

Plugged it into Puro's spreadsheet vs a full upgraded poetics set, and it came out ahead a few % on theoretical DPS.
