ok so here it is 6 months later and im so itching to get on here and just finally play FF14,i dont care that its broke or unfinished i could give a crap if it makes my ps3 catch fire and explode,at this point i just want to play it.So Yoshi P please release it fix it do what you got to do but i have been waiting a long long time and i would say that i have waited patiently enough,if not now just please for the love of final fantasy give me an idea of when from your mouth because if i read one more post about ff14 being doomed im going to bash my laptop against the wall.Call me a fanboy i dont care i know that where you are going with ff is a good thing as they should have had you on this from the start.I could care less how broken it is i have had ff14 preordered for almost half a year now and i think you should just roll the dice and let us in.Anyways keep up the good work and just please some news from you on a release would be so great.All the people that troll the boards just itching to spout about FF14's doom have irritated me for a long time and when you release to ps3 i betcha you will get alot of fans like me who just want to play the game you are building.Happy adventuring to all of you

p.s. also yoshi p did say recently in an interview that the ps3 version will be released at all cost!!!!

they suck... only good thing they can do is running exclusive games and get owned by PC for running multi-platform games

You want a release, trust me. I play it from the first hour and I love it. The only problem this game ever had were players that expected too much. People are playing this still for free and the devs are doing hard and great work. Its a big fun to play this game and see how it improves. Look forward for ps3 release

We expected too much? ***. I excepted a good game, and nothing more. SE failed to deliver on that.

The game is fun for about the first 10 to 15 levels or so, but then it just starts to get horribly repetitive and monotonous since there's nothing to do. I'm sorry if you don't have any standards for what you'll accept in terms of quality in a game, but I do. I expect games to be fun, engaging, and challenging. FFXIV fails to deliver on all those fronts.

The goal of any video game -- ***, of any commercial product -- should always be to live up to customers' expectations. Saying that people "expected too much" is never a valid excuse. Ever.

If you're happy to play a game that offers little more than mindless monster bashing, then by all means, continue to play the shallow and pedantic game that FFXIV currently is. I won't be joining you.

Instead, what I will be doing is playing other games that are actually good until such a time that SE can manage to patch FFXIV into an acceptable state.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly like the direction Yoshi-P is taking the game, and I think he has the vision and know-how to fix this awful mess and beat FFXIV into a respectable game. If things continue on their current course, FFXIV will probably be a pretty good game within a year or two, but the fact is it's not a good game right now, and I don't play games that aren't good, and I don't think PS3 players will want to, either.

This has been covered. At least official report, they'd gotten the game engine to play nice with the PS3 and could arguably have released it if they wanted. However, they're holding back on doing so for the simple reason that they're still regularly deploying updates, something that would be a lot more difficult if they had to keep optimising patches for release over PSN.

Soo... yeah, the PS3 version'll likely come out when they're at a point where they don't have to keep changing and adding things so often. Which I guess will be about the same time they start charging.

WOW you played for an hour and loved it MY god Stop the presses the rest of us must be all morons then. This game is still in horrid condition, it leaks memory like a paraplegic on a colostomy bag, the UI interface still runs like crap taking 5-10 seconds at times to accept commands, the billing issues still have not gotten sorted out have not even been addressed for that matter on the NA forums, You still cannot invite kick promote or demote members of a LS without standing next to them. I mean my god really should I continue those are just the 4 top things off the top of my head.
